MONITOR: 20 inch UltraSharp 2007FPW Widescreen Digital Flat Panel

MEMORY: 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 4DIMMs

HARD DRIVE: 320GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache

Your optical drive is good as well.

Those are your system highs...the rest isnt that great (in gaming standards)

For office/procesing/internet browsing use i give it a 4...

For gaming i give it a 2.

[QUOTE="hyber"]hi, this is really driving me nuts.
how do i know which audio drivers i need to download, i use creative speakers btw

thanks

Speakers are nothing to do with drivers. For drivers, what matter are the soundcard and OS. Are you using intergrated sound, or do you have a sound card?

Are you building a budget rig?  AMD for budget, intel otherwise.  Or...if you wait a month or so the Core 2 Duos are supposed to drop in price and you can have a solid budget intel system thats better than the budget AMD system.

Wolfenstien Enemy Territory (best free fps ever)

America's Army

Soldat (optional registration, game is still fun without registering)

Counter-Strike 2d

Gene Rally (racing games)

Maple Story (cash options)

Out of the 100's of free games ive sorted through and played, these are the only ones I still play/played for a long time.

You're right on with the online aspect.  The only deterant keeping me away from purchasing the wii is the lack of online play.  Thats why im more interested in XBOX360 in the Next Gen phase because they have the best online system and ONLINE GAMES ARE SOOO muchhhhh fun.  Thats why im a PC gamer...not just because the graphics outweigh the consoles by far, but because multuiplayer makes the replay value go wayyyyyy up.  You spend more time with games if you can play them online because its a different experience every time, you dont have to go through the same experience in single player mode and bore yourself.

Alright, ive made a temporary Intel Dual Core build on Newegg since I plan on building an Intel build for the first time in my life!  Now, ive seen what ive built but I was wondering if you guys could reccomend an Intel build that would be more affordable for me (im a student, ****)  I want to prepare the system as much as I can to run Crysis in DX10.  The price range im looking at is about 900 Dollars.  Please dont make comments like...for that money you cant get **** because it can be done...

Build includes these components:

Intel Dual Core Processor

Motherboard (supporting the Intel Dual Core chipset obviously)

RAM (2 gigs)

DX10 Video Card (planning on getting the 2nd gen DX10 by invidia when it comes out for $189 so just use this as the default video card value in the rig)

Computer Case

Power Supply (Whats needed for SLI, no overkill)

Hard Drive

Floppy (just in case)

Optical Drive (prefably one that supports all formats including dvd, no need for lightscribe)
