The one thing I did agree with in your review was how annoying it was to get geared up. Most groups look for fully epic-geared players for heroics, which is stupid seeing as you can only get these epics while doing heroics. I also dont like the fact that people decide what you should do - im a Warrior but I dont like to tank, yet if I dont I cannot get a raidspot seeing as no one will take a DPS warrior. The game is far too unbalanced too, the hybrids do as much damage, and tank/heal just as well the classes actually designed for those roles which should be allowed to happen imo. However im getting the impression that these fantasy MMORPGs just arent suited for you, most the others are just WoW-clones with just slightly better communities. Maybe simply online gaming and not MMO gaming is your thing, theres plenty of great games you can play online with others without having to pay and still have a great time. E.g. TF2, Arma 2, NWN etc.
If you've never played it, try Grim Fandango. I know its over a decade old, but I recently played it for the very first time and its already become one of the finest games ive played on the PC, a true gem of a storyline too.

Im sorry but I strongly disagree. The first game in the series was very much the worst IMO. The level designs were flawed and there was no variety and choice compared to the other games, and missions just ended up being linear. The controls were nothing short of TERRIBLE and it was just plain frustrating that you couldnt save during missions. Contracts is the best in the series IMO.
