Arma 2 - You cannot win online games in it without communicating, and the only real efficient way is via a mic. The fanbase consists of serious military buffs who will tend to take the teamwork aspect more seriously too.

yeah never really liked the mentality of it anyway

its like counter strike or COD4 multiplayer.. but with hairy arms and sword and etc :S

Perhampus
You talking about AoC? If so dont really understand the CS or COD4 link :P What sort of MMO you looking for? Fantasy? Sci-fi? I dont particularly like WoW but theres a reason its the most successful one...its because the others more or less suck. Either that or they're not easily approachable for the average gamer (e.g. EVE online) Unfortunately the best option is to wait for the upcoming MMOs, since none of em are really worth that much attention IMO.

How many days does Mount and Blade last? Also, is there a level cap?

will952

Got it today and there just seems so much to do, the modding community is also impressive. Its more or less a bargain bin game now anyway, picked it up for £8 (around $12)

ArmA 2's single player is 100% playable. Its that much of an improvement over the last one.

Wasdie
Wouldnt go that far, would say its around the 80% mark, which is still a huge improvement over its predecessor!

has darkfall online released :O

if it were to strange that no one on GS has talked about it

Perhampus
It has been released, you buy the game from the forums strangely enough. Its pretty bad though, they really made a mess of it. Oh and try Age of Conan, its really picked up lately.

[QUOTE="irishscott99"][QUOTE="idk761"][QUOTE="Hockeystud92"]

my perfect game is MAG but hopfully it doesnt lag and works right

Well I think a better game would have 100,000 people on a single match, and the map would be huge. With no lag at all.

I say 100,001 people would be better :)

No, because then you'd have a odd number and hence uneven teams.

OF2 hasnt been released yet, but im picking Arma 2. Arma 2 may have its technical problems but ironically enough it looks more like an operation flashpoint game than OF2 that just looks like an open battlefield 2. I mean just watch the gameplay footage for both games on youtube and you'll see exactly what I mean. So if you want realism and a true military simulator, look no further than Arma 2. If you want an FPS thats basically a slightly more realistic version of COD (and i use the term 'realistic' loosely) then give OF2 a shot.

Wow, I can write a book on my moderation history. I think I get on average 3 posts a week deleted by mods simply because they are regarded as trolling or offensive. Im pretty sure somewhere along the line I got a 3 day suspension for saying 'Cool story bro'. I also remember getting in trouble for quoting a joke about Mike Tyson and rape with a 'lol'. One for 'advertising' when asking people to sign a petition to allow the sale of BC PS3s in Europe (many posters showed support for this petition). My latest one is for telling a Michael Jackson joke which a few posters found funny, (the mod was obviously a huge MJ fan :P) However by far the funniest one was when I made a link to the GameSpot article on Encyclopediadramatica (which is a mock-wikipedia incase u hadnt noticed). While I do respect the mods in maintaining order and sanity, I do think that the tight-modding of the site does bring about a police-state paranoia where you're scared to post certain things, which while acceptable in 99% of other forums, would get you in trouble here. For these reasons I do feel abit paranoid when disagreeing or arguing with another poster since I may be deemed offensive. I think this site by far has the most strictest forum regulations I've come across for a major forum.
