He's not wrong. There's a reason the movie was the most successful ever for a long time. The theatre experience was Avatar first came out was actually breathtaking even though the movie was pretty meh. However, that was 13 years ago. There's nothing special about it anymore and going to a theatre to see it isn't going to wow anyone. We've all seen bigger and better.
While I agree that most of the accessories that come with the Elite are superfluous, even though they're well made, the paddles have become something I can't live without and are probably the cheapest thing they're removing.
I was also hoping that they'd go back to a AA option.
@thefoxhounded: You're trying to be the language police and can't get it's/its sorted? Language also evolves and words take on new meanings when used in different contexts all the time. Most words have multiple meanings. There's nothing weird about it. Entitled has the meaning of spoiled in most dictionaries.
@gamerbum: I know it's a tough concept to figure out, but different people are looking for different things from video games. Lots of people want extremely tight, amazing-feeling gunplay. Other people are looking for an immersive story experience that makes them feel things. Both people can be right and give their preferred type of game an 8/10.
Whining about how this shouldn't be an 8/10 because it doesn't match your narrow view of what a game is is childish. Do you whine about CS:GO because the story and characters are lame?
It's really weird when the entitled baby gamers come out and whine about something silly like the price of a remaster. Every other medium does it. Movies do it, books do it, music does it, comics do it, and games take far, far, far more work to remaster, especially when it's the amount of work that clearly went into this one.
It's a pretty easy solution if it's too expensive for you. You don't have to buy every single game that's released. If people will pay $70, the game is worth $70. That's how to real world works.
@alien-hell: Are you a toddler? This has been standard practice for sports games since the 90s and every other genre since the 2000s.
People who care love the updates and are more than willing to pay for it. The people complaining should just stop complaining and check in on the series every 5 years.
The Trout card really isn't worth it unless you get him from the random card. If you're serious about the game, you're going to eventually have his Live card which is quite a bit better, and they'll also give us a 99 Trout down the line. He might be a tiny bit better than the other CF options, but it also gives you a chance to play with some other fielders that won't be cemented into your lineup the rest of the year. I'd replace Trout on your list with Buxton. He catches everything, throws everyone out, and has more pop in his bat than the stats suggest. His lowish contact isn't a huge deal right now since there's only one end-game pitcher in the game. Plus, it's a slightly beefier version of his Live card.
