[QUOTE="Erkidu"]You failed when you said that "half the games were mini-game compilations". Go through the 300-400 Wii games listed on GS and find all of the mini-game compilations. You MIGHT find 10. On another note, your thread in a nutshell = "Why do people have different opinions than me?"ThaLootDog

Wow I'm to my breaking point with you idiots posting on what was a conversation between a few "intelligent" gamers. I KNOW AND RESPECT OTHERS OPINIONS. If you read the entire discussion you would know that. And yes I obviously exagerated by saying half, and I hope your exxagerating by saying there are only 10, because you would be mistaken

Your posts are barely legible, kid. May I suggest laying off the "Harcore" (ROFL) gaming in favor of furthering your education. Who knows, with a little hard work, and a little bit of luck, you may be able to return and post comments that people can decipher without the help of the enigma machine.

In any case, I love my Wii, and no amount of teen angst is going to change that. If you can't handle the fact that people enjoy games that you may find boring, then you've got a long way to go till you can say you are not a common idiot.

RTS: Strategizing isn't fun. You are constantly thinking of what to do next. In FPSs, you get a gun, and you know what to do with it. Occasionally, you duck and cover, but that's where the strategy ends. A game with strategy in mind just isn't much fun at all. I don't play games to think. I play games to beat the crap out of other people.

So in other words you have a short attention span.

Go ahead and pretend you don't. Everyone does, these days. But I understand how it's cool to pretend you enjoy playing stuff that is supposed to be fun, even though it isn't. Half of the time, you are just working for the fun part. When the fun part comes along, it isn't even worth it.

If everyone was as adverse to mental stimulation as you, there wouldn't be a puzzle genre. Stop lumping everyone into the same category as yourself.

Tell me if you enjoy this:

You are in a room. There are 1100 puzzle pieces. You must fit them together correctly. Of course, this isn't actually challenging. It's all freaking trial and error. Basically, it's either extremely time consuming or you luck out and find it instantly. Oh yeah, so how the hell am I supposed to know that lighting a fire opens a door? (Zelda)

0_o Traditionally, Zelda puzzles are easy as hell to figure out. I mean, it's pretty blatantly obvious that those torches are there for a reason. If you can't figure them out, you must be thick as molasses, and I don't blame you for hating games that make you think.

Also, your example is as ridiculous as your original claims. Puzzle games, as a genre, don't just amount to picture puzzles. It's a genre that deals with problem solving.

[QUOTE="householdman"]What are you....5? Variety is the spice of life kid.SouljaBoyHater

Is that why you've been playing Mario, Zelda, and Metroid for twenty-five years?

First of all, they are all different genres.

Second, Master System was my primary console. So try again.

I truly believe Halo wouldn't have this much hate against it if it was released on PS2 and Gamecube as well. We all know the fanboys of other systems hate releases that don't appear on their own platform. Look at COD4. Pretty much like by all. But if the series had started on Xbox only and COD 4 was Xbox only. The hate for it would be where Halo is today. bphan

Or maybe, just maybe, there are people who just don't like the game?

[QUOTE="-RPGamer-"]Let's see. On one hand I get a crappy game based on ninjas and a type of cookie. On the other I have some rapper...yup I would rather have the crappy ninja cookie combo.Marth6781

Listen o the damn music before you bash.

His music sucks. People like him ruined rap.

I meant ot underline the part about some rapper, it had a very disrespectful tone to rap music.

Pffft. The evolution should have stopped at Funk.

[QUOTE="PC360Wii"][QUOTE="Flexmaster_365"][QUOTE="Andrew_Xavier"][QUOTE="Flexmaster_365"]

Exactly why do you think Wrpgs aren't like that anymore. Times have changed, they have evolved. I hope for everyones sake Jrpgs do as well.

Flexmaster_365

The JRPG genre as a whole is in constant evolution. You should try to play a few modern ones.

I have, every single one was turn based and had the whole numbers above heads, "omg me get negative 35 damage" "Oh lets use this it does 46 damage that will subtract him to 0"

WTF man I just can't play that...

If you can name one that isn't like that I'm more than happy to try it.

What WRPG are you talking about? ALL RPGS work on maths ... thats thier very purpose and the foundation of the entire gameplay, even MAss Effect ...

Your guns doa preset damage added up with your attributes ... the ammount of damage you take, ect ect.

TBH you sound too lazy to do anything :S

As long as the numbers are in the background I don't care, like Oblivion. Plus turn based gameplay feels like chess as I said. I want to move the character around, I want action, I want real time.

As a d&d player since ad&d 2e, seeing kids these days trying to get as far away from the core RPG mechanics as possible makes me sad :(

It's just another example of dumbing down gaming for the masses.
