[QUOTE="X_Evo"][QUOTE="Shadow2k6"][QUOTE="Eponique"][QUOTE="darthogre"]

[QUOTE="mingo123"]sony should release ps2 with gimmicky psmote...thats the only way to counter wiiShadow2k6

That had nothing to do with this month.

To counter they would have to release a game as big as Super Smash Bros. If MGS4 would have released this month it actually might have been even in sales.

I think it's really funny how Gamespot points out in the title how Nintendo specifically beat Sony......but X360 is just a footnote in the whole article.

MGS? Are you serious? :|

No MGS game broke the one million sales, HSG and Dynasty Warriors did, and neither of those months was PS3 able to beat Wii.

MGS won't change anything.

:|

MGS for PS1 sold over 6 million, same with MGS2. MGS3 (Snake Eater) sold over 3 million and MGS3 (Subsistence) sold around 1 million.

So please if your going bash something please know your facts. fanboy.

Wow you just owned yourself hard .. oh the irony

So your saying my numbers are more off then his? Please...GTFO.

Maybe if you READ the thread, you would notice that were talking about JAPAN's sales figures.

You CAN read can't you?

Hardcore gamers buy every successful console that comes to the market and have a nice PC , that's exactly why they are called hardcore gamers .

You are mistaking hardcore gamers with the Fan-girl whiners and moneyless haters that infest this part of the forum .

Caseytappy

Perhaps thats your definition of a Hardcore gamer, but I would say someone who only ever owned a few systems yet plays SF2 or SSBM at a competetive level are more Hardcore than some rich person who owns everything under the sun.

In my eyes, it's dedication and passion that define a gamer, not the depth of their coffers.

The thing most people don't seem to grasp is that games like TP, SMG, MP, Mass Effect, Uncharted, Sunshine, SMB2/Lost Levels, hell even the earlier Castlevanias (1/2/3) etc are not games that any 'ol console owner can enjoy fully, even if your bad arse at Halo, you may not even be able to finish TP.

It's the same deal with classic games like Planescape: Torment, Chrono Trigger, Werewolf: The Last Warrior, Ninja Gaiden SMS, FFV, Wizards and Warriros etc. Many people may have played them, but few have conquered them.

Most consoles have games like this, most gaming systems have games that you have to be hellishly dedicated to to finish. To be honest, I love every gaming system that has ever been, from the Fountain and Odyessy, to the home cps2, to the high end PC. I just take part in the console war because it's entertaining.

Marvel vs. Capcom is better than some button mashing no depth kiddy fighting series.112505

You obviously have NO idea how to play smash. You probally couldn't handle a serious smash battle, you brain would explode.

Ninja Gaiden on the Master System was FAR superior to Ninja Gaiden on the NES and even Ninja Gaiden 2/3 on the NES (Thought the master system game came out after NG3).

It's a completley different game wherin you battle the dark shogun to get back some scroll. It is win, and I suggest you all go out and play it. (Its a PAL exclusive).

Traditional jrpgs are not worth the title RPG, any legacy table topper will tell you the same thing.

There's also a new version of the 360 laptop by ben http://benheck.com/02-03-2008/xbox-360-elite-laptop#more-346 (that's his site btw)

The wii version looks like it would be horrible to use due to the small screen.

achilles614

He is bad ass. I really liked the idea of his Single Handed controllers. I prefer his first build that you could actually hold though, the latest one looks a bit clumsy.

[QUOTE="Aljosa23"]Considering it's 1st in the console race, it must be a real gaming console.ineedanap

Indeed, but that's with the current definition of what a gaming console is, which is what my original post argued.

Really, because you made no allusions to a debate on the definition of a 'gaming console' you merely said that you consider it in a serparate catagory from the 360 and PS3.

Frankly, I don't see why it wouldn't be considered a gaming machine, I mean it plays games and it doesn't try to be a home entertainment package like the other two consoles.
