@darkrecon: It is true 1080p though. No upscaling. Can't say the same for Quantum Blur.

QB doesn't upscale either, the missing pixels arent stretched/copied like they would be in your standard upscale, why it looks blurry is because the pixels are "estimations" and thus never look as good as native 1080p

Temporal reconstruction is just another type of upscaling...... Just like FXAA is another method of post process anti-aliasing...

Okay it technically is as the base frame is 720p and it needs to fill the whole 1080p frame, reconstruction just does much better job at it than your normal upscale

So by cow standards this game is unplayable now because it's not true 1080p

but it is true 1080p, (possibly)using reconstruction to make shadows look better doesn't change that

If its recontructed........then its not native. The final output may be 1080p, the geometry might be 1080p, but of the shadows, effects, post process, or anything else is sampled from other frames, or lower resolution samples............then it isnt a full 1080p render. Doesnt make it a bad game, in fact i think its smart for devs to do that on these weak consoles. Id prefer if Sony/Microsoft made all games 900p and focused on a stable frame rate

You know they could be 1080p shadows that g et reconstructed to look even better? But if you want to go that way then there's no 1080p native game in existence

So its 720P?

Yep.

After a lot of damage control and mental gymnastics from lems, the answer is still yes.

lol the funny thing is when killzone multipler was questioned about it's 1080p resolution and it was stated that it wasn't a true traditional 1080p buffer I didn't see cows making up all this fancy BS to try to challenge the issue.

Even tho Killzone SF's multiplayer resolution is far far closer to a true 1080p buffer than QB, cows took the criticism about that part of the game not being 1080p on the chin and kept it moving. But these lems man (and the fake hermits who are trying hard to back their damage control) are showing a level of desperation, deception and misinformation for that unprecedented what others have just accepted in the past.

Funny as that's exactly what I aimed to correct as @imt558 keeps claiming it's "upscaled 720p" which has been pointed out numerous times that it's not the case. You are obviously free to prove me wrong here, but do come with better arguments than he did.

As long as it sells they'll support it.

@charizard1605: how is an 8 a flop. It's different ppl's opinion.

Unless it's a complete disaster UC4 is going to be my favorite game this gen. It's the 4th installment in the series as well. There's going to be some of that series fatigue.

That's like grounding your kid for getting a B in science class. Who the **** does that?

8 isn't exactly a flop by any means and I doubt UC4 gets under 9, BUT if it were to get an 8... like Halo 5. That would be way too much for some people to handle here

What is with this tweet from 2½ years ago?

If the final output is 1080p then the game is not 720p.

LOL! You're blind? You should read with understanding. Maybe you will figure it out sometime.

That's pretty rich coming from you

@Wasdie: Yes it's obviously reached with "tricks" in the battlefronts case and isn't by no means as spectacular as the Unreal demo
