@beuneus12 Disagree, because it will be the same game with just improved graphics. To me next gen is more than pretty visuals but a whole gamma of options and gameplay elements unlike never seen before, plus pretty visuals.
I can truly see GTA as the biggest seller, what I can't understand is the paradox of CoD sales, only explanation is that it is a fashionable item, people buy what is fashionable independently of having better options.
@ElfShotTheFood True, but after the great experience of Far Cry 3 it was show that open world is one of the best options for pure FUN, It can be expected that others will try the approach now, and coming at the exact time when so many games thought copying linear CoD would be their path to success, but it blew up on their faces, because CoD fans are the only ones that like CoD and it's practically all they like.
Yeah, give it a rest like EA with MoH, then take all the CoD inspiration and incinerate it. Look at what made RE, forget what makes CoD, then I will support the once great series again.
Just let us use bots like BF2, it was great practice and polishing of skills and tactics, specially useful when you get internet problems. Bring back bots.
While EA gives MoH a rest they could really take advantage of some great IP they own from Pandemics. Why not make a true sequel to Mercenaries (not like the pathetic Mercs 2) or The Saboteur, then come back with a MoH that makes their statement of "authenticity" true (refer to ArmA). I would definitely support these games if done right (no CoD inspiration please).
@wgerardi @gufberg Absolutely. After I had completely laid off the FPS genre, (blame CoD) I came back for Far Cry 3 and it showed me that the FPS genre can be innovated and fresh.
Hopefully others will follow and make refreshing experience. A new path is needed for FPS. I really hope this spells the beginning of the end for the generic same old cinematic military FPS.
