hi folks,

lately i've been thinking about overclocking my pc, that is, my GPU and possibly my CPU. however, i have never done that before and i would really prefer not to do anything that might cause damage to my pc. i was wondering if someone who has similiar GPU+CPU (specs below) could tell me what is a safe overclock, or atl east direct me to some useful sites... thanks in a dvance

my video card is: ASUS GTX460 TOP 768mb
my processor is: Core i3 550 3.2Ghz

all my hardware is a t the same speed, voltage and hwtever the hell other specs that it came with, i haven't touched any of it yet.

Make sure the TV you are buying supports full 1920x1080P resolution!!!

If it is 1365 x 768 or lower resolution, immediately cancel the pre-order! As that's worser than the average 1440x900 basic lcd monitor.

You won't enjoy your PC gaming at 1365x768 resolution. As the graphics would be very poor.

i'm not buying a TV, i'm buying a PC, i just don't have enough money to buy a really good monitor right now, so i was wondering if i can make do with the TV for now

hey guys,

i'm new to PC gaming and have already placed an order for a new pc. i have a 32 inch SHARP LCD HDTV, and i'm wondering if i can use that with my new pc or should i get a pc monitor as well... that is, will playing games on a big screen TV reduce performance?

thanks for your help

i've noticed hat my ps3's fan spins faster and louder with "heavy" games like uncharted 2 and RDR, and quieter and slower with "lighter" older games... has anybody else had this happen to them? is this normal?
thanks

i was playing red dead redemption and died in a duel in thieves landing... after the "DEAD" message, the game entered the saving screen (black screen, circling red arrow on left corner), and then froze. after i restarted the ps3 it didn't happen again... does that mean my ps3 is dying or something? or has anybody else had this problem or a similar freezing problem when playing RDR?

thanks for the help

I recently moved my PS3 to a new location and it is now only about 1.5 meters away from me during gameplay. now, i've noticed that when playing games the fan kicks in to higher gear that's loud enough to hear while playing if the volume is a bit low or if there's a quiet cutscene or something of that sort. now, it might have always done that but i just didn't notice because as i said, it used to be in a bigger room. point is, that the system itself is very cool, and is in a very well-ventilated area. so if the fan runs loud, but the console stays cool, that's OK, right? i am still under a 3 year Costco warranty, but i'd rather not have to change my ps3 (which is an 80gb model). thanks for the help. also, can you guys hear your ps3 during gameplay?

right, so my dad is going to the US on a business trip. i would like him to get some games for me, namely Uncharted 2. however, i have a UK ps3, so will it run a game from the US or will i have to get the game form the same region as my ps3 (UK)?

so i've decided that i'm going to buy a psp. i thought about going with the psp go, but than read some reviews that said i'm better off with the 3000. now, saving money would be nice, but it isn't a major issue. i just want to know what would be the best portable gaming experience. what do you think i should go with?

P.S.: by 3000 i mean the slim & lite version of the 3000
