Today's been pretty disappointing around here. Reviews, PMs, level updates, etc just don't appear to be working properly.

I thought I had made my last blog entry for the year, but I decide to make one fun post to see if any of you are interested in a website called Where's George?. It's a site which tracks the money (bills) you have. Enter a bill and if someone else has come across the bill, they can enter it into the site, and so on. Obviously not everyone knows about this site, so it's somewhat rare to get other people to report receiving the bill you had. I began this a long time ago, but I rarely remember to do it. Give it a try, it's a fun little hobby which only takes a few minutes.

My last post of the year, and there's not much going on. This morning I preordered the first three seasons of The X-Files, which are being re-released, as some of you may know. I preordered them from Overstock.com since I can get an additional 10% off and free shipping. I seem to be writing more episodes recaps than I'm submitting, which is creating a big backlog of stuff to submit. Today, the postal service delivered a package from Overstock.com. Inside was my Family Guy - Volume 1 (Seasons 1 & 2) and King of the Hill - Season 1 DVD sets which I purchased a week or so ago (see a previous post). You can't beat $14.99 a season and free shipping for these. I hope Costco has another sale of The Simpsons - Seasons 1-5 soon. I don't know if you heard about it, but they were selling the first five seasons in one pack for $75 a few weeks ago. I may have to take a distant drive to find a Costco store, but it may be worth it. I'd buy one for myself and sell the rest on eBay for $95+ each, making a nice profit, which is what some have done. A few days ago, I retired from the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno guide. Today's retirement is from the The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson guide. I hope someone can start submitting things for the guide and take it over - there's a LOT of room for improvement with it.

It seems the bugs I noticed yesterday have been worked out for the most part... hopefully they won't pop back up. Regardless of what Holiday you do or don't celebrate this time of year, I hope you all have a safe and joyous time. To those of you who have things pending in my queue, I'll get to them shortly. Since yesterday, I've noticed more and more of the site seems to be falling apart with odd bugs everywhere. The PM #s aren't updating, and when you read a message, you get just a blank, white page more than half the time. Looking at other people's profiles/blogs is nearly impossible because of another bug. I've noticed new reviews aren't showing up in my review history. I've also noticed they're not necessarily showing up properly in the episodes I wrote them for. The levels are reverting to a prior update, and updating the site's cache in the browser fixes it for a little while. Where did all of these bugs come from, and why now? The site's run incredibly smoothly over the past two weeks, for instance, but now with the staff gone or soon to be gone, parts of the site are crumbling. This is a depressing thing to wake up to, you know?
