Update - Dec 21, 2005

The Modern Marvels marathon was a bit exhausting to watch and take notes for the guide. I can manage two or three hours, but nine or ten hours is a bit much. I retired from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno guide this morning. Current Rank: Airwolf Current Level: 50 (32%) Submission Status: Accepted: 11258 Pending: 1 Denied: 153 Total: 11412

Update - Dec 20, 2005

Quite a past few days here, what with the internet connection problems, snide announcing his leaving, and various other things. I was able to take care of about half of the pending submissions in my queue, and will handle the remaining later today (hopefully). It's hard telling, as there's a Modern Marvels marathon on today, which is keeping me busy as you can imagine. In DVD news, I received the first season of CSI: NY this morning. It pays to hunt down deals. :) I took over the guide for Norm, an ABC sitcom from a few years ago. Also, I noticed a few minutes ago, the TV.com staff shined the "Community Spotlight" on me, which is nice. I wish I had something special to say, but nothing comes to mind, frankly. Update - Dec 19, 2005

When I got up this morning, my connection was actually worse than yesterday, actually slower than dialup. I just noticed now (3pm CST) that things have improved significantly, and will contribute tomorrow. I know I'll be a day behind on some things. For those of you with submissions in my queue, I'll get to them, but maybe not today, but tomorrow. We'll see how things go here... Update - Dec 18, 2005

I watched some DVDs this morning. I don't have much else to report today, other than my slow Internet connection could be problematic. My connection is abnormally slow today, and this will slow down how much I submit today, and until it's fixed. Update - Dec 17, 2005

I submitted quite a bit today compared to recent days, in an attempt to get some of one of my guides in order. I hate it when you have episodes which are out of order, and it becomes a big problem when there are over 350 episodes! I've still got a lot to do, but I think I did enough for one day. I received a few DVDs "recently." Here's a list for those of you curious folks. Some of these are gifts for Christmas. Back to the Future - The Complete Trilogy (Widescreen Edition) The History Channel Presents The Presidents The Lone Gunmen - The Complete Series McLintock (Special Collector's Edition) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (Special Edition) Enemy at the Gates Vegas Vacation (Widescreen Edition) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Widescreen Special Edition) Madagascar (Widescreen Edition) The Incredibles (Widescreen 2-Disc Collector's Edition) The Quiet Man (Collector's Edition) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Widescreen Edition) The X-Files - Fight the Future The X-Files Mythology, Vol. 1 - Abduction The X-Files Mythology, Vol. 2 - Black Oil The X-Files Mythology, Vol. 3 - Colonization The X-Files Mythology, Vol. 4 - Super Soldiers I already mentioned the X-Files DVDs a few posts back, but I listed them again just for the heck of it. Update - Dec 14, 2005

Thanks to cooncesean for the recent work on some bugs, and for the PMs. There are still some new bugs popping up. I refer you to my previous blog entry, as well as this topic and frankly the entire Support Forum. It's impossible to keep up with all of the bugs. No wonder The_Huntsman's topic is so out of date! Some of these bugs are beginning to become very bizarre and very random, which makes it more difficult for the developers to nail down to a specific piece of faulty code. I received a few more DVDs the other day, but I don't feel like bothering with cover art at the moment. If you're curious about knowing what I got, let me know, and I'll post it in the next blog entry. :P Current Rank: Airwolf Current Level: 50 (18%) Submission Status: Accepted: 10300 Pending: 80 Denied: 153 Total: 10533

Update - Dec 11, 2005

It seems my rate of blank submissions is down significantly, considering all of the submissions I made today. I only ran into the "new" blank bug, which redirects me to http://www.tv.com/episode//summary.html twice since the big *fix*. I did run into a few other problems recently: 1) When submitting cast members, sometimes none of them go through. Or, one or two of them will go through, and the others don't, so I have to resubmit the ones that didn't. When I run into this, things show up just fine on the submission verification page you get before you click the final "submit" button. 2) When editing a submission someone else sent in to my queue, sometimes my little changes don't go through, and what ends up on the site was what they sent, not the changes I made. I ran into the second problem about a week or so ago, which was before the *fix* was rolled out. Overall, today's *big* day of contributing went pretty smoothly. I made nearly 200 submissions today, which is quite a lot, since I've really cut down on my daily submissions since the blank submissions bug came out. My only recent contribution day came a few days ago, when I submitted a crap-load (a very scientific term ;) ) of submissions to Malcolm in the Middle, to fix some problems. Update - Dec 09, 2005

It was only a week or so ago when I complained about hitting 100 rejections. Well, I just hit 150. That's a lot of rejections, in a very short time period. I'm down to zero pending, although I don't think that'll last long. Also, I crossed 10,000 submissions with this update, which is a lot of work, but there's still so much to do. The bugs in the site are preventing me from contributing at the rates I used to contribute at. Aaaahhhhhh!

The contribution bugs are driving me ******* crazy. Whether it's the blank submission bug, or the problem with some submissions being automatically approved, it's getting very aggravating. The thing about the auto-accept submissions is they seem to stay in the queue, even though they were accepted, which is why some of my submissions have been rejected for being "duplicates".
