@RogerioFM: No one is assuming that a billion PC users are interested in VR. We're talking about potential install base. But, hey, if being obtuse makes you feel better about yourself, keep at it.
@RogerioFM: The article says 1% of all PC's in use globally, and therefore about 13 million PC's globally are VR ready. This also correlates with what the VR manufacturers themselves have said, and also meshes with the Steam User Surveys, which suggest about 10% of Steams 125 million users are VR ready.
@the-games-masta: I've played every Hitman game released, and have enjoyed my time with each game (to varying degrees). I've replayed maybe two levels. I will enjoy my games how I please.
@k41m: You get this Intro Pack now (ep. 1, I suppose), and then there will be 6 other main instalments of content across the year. The next will arrive in April.
It's the same as how Telltale, amongst others, do their episodic business model. Buying upfront is cheapest, or you can upgrade to the full game after buying the first episode for a little more, or buy it all piecemeal and pay the most (US$75, or your equivalent, in this case).
Sounds like it may be worth picking up once it has all of its content out. I've never had a interest in replaying the levels, and additional arbitrary challenges hold no appeal (unless the mechanics and story are so perfect it is worth the repetition just to keep existing in the world). Hopefully once you put all the pieces together it has a enjoyable, coherent campaign to have a fun romp through. That's all I want.
