@pa_amb_tomaquet: US$15 (on Steam) for the Intro Pack (episode one), or $60 for the full package, which is the intro and the other 6 eventual packs. If you buy the $15 Intro Pack only, then you will then need to buy the Upgrade Pack to get the rest, which ship from April. By the looks of it you don't buy the whole thing episodically, after the first taster, you're in or out.
EDIT: None of it is priced on PSN, at least in my region. But Destructoid reports in their PS4 review that future packs will be $10 each (so $75 if bought episodically). I would guess then that individual episodes will be available on PC as well.
Not really something he had to 'admit'. Surely any reasonable person was assuming there would be a difference? As is usual for the console market, it will differentiate itself with the benefits of auto-compatibility and plug and play ease of use, and hopefully also the fact that there is a huge incentive for Sony to ensure they have a large, quality library of titles for the platform.
@reduc_ab_: I played quite a bit of the closed beta, single-player only. Didn't go back for the open beta, even though I had the time. It's going to get real repetitive by yourself. It may scale nicely to one person for the campaign, but the style of the game, fighting wave after wave of near identical bad guys, is designed to be made fun by the presence of other people. The shooting is fine, but very standard. And all the loot is just normal guns and clothing, so you aren't searching after exciting drops like you would in a less realistic game. I think, if your aim is just to do the campaign solo, wait for a good sale.
@razrabbit: Given the quality of the product, I don't think it is at all unreasonable to wait for a deep discount. There are enough big games coming over the next few months anyway.
@brownyyy: He said he would stream all night, and streaming is an important source of revenue. That he played for so long doesn't indicate at all that he must have liked it on any level. He isn't a normal consumer. You may as well say a reviewer must have liked a game if they finish it.
@tanerb: W_D, 4 million in a week. Destiny 6+ million in a month. Both broke various gaming and publisher records for all-IP first day sales and new IP launches.
@jasongm: Sold 4 million copies in its first week, and was Ubisoft's biggest new IP launch ever, as well as highest first day sales for any Ubisoft IP, and was the biggest new IP launch ever in several major markets. Somehow?
