You know, I'm wondering what Lucas means when he says that he did not accomplish most of what he intended in Star Wars to (that the films were mostly not of his original vision). If that is the case, then perhaps so much of the dynamic success of Star Wars was his own mistake and he is not as brilliant of a filmmaker/ writer as we all would have hoped.
