Reminds me of Noam Chomsky's case of portraying Osama as a victim because he was killed instead of captured.

But in any case, the potential political fallout and mission risk of attempting to capture this man (Anwar) would have probably been too great.

Of course! What better way can movies, shows, and games be butchered by awkward edits of violent scenes, nonsensical dialogue, and overall dilution of content than to require it by law? Of course, we do have the naysayer creators, who claim to be able to self-regulate themselves.

The U.S. can't patrol their airspace indefinitely, and with pretty hostile and sometimes belligerent neighbors on all sides looking to take advantage of the sectarian divides that exist in the country, it's going to need some kind of combat aircraft at least as a deterrent. I'm very surprised this matter had not been addressed years earlier. The new Iraqi Air Force as far as I know has no combat aircraft.

I care, because even though I can't do a damn thing to stop it, I can protect my own assets and maybe even ride the potential downward wave with shorting moves :).

Does anyone remember Gaddafi's speech to the U.N. in 2009?

But if they won't even come to the east coast, I don't know if they would think about expanding into another country.

My favorite is actually Children of the Jedi followed by The Last Command. My least favorite is Planet of Twilight.

[QUOTE="-Sun_Tzu-"]I don't see this as the end of the world. It's just one vague sentence on a piece of paper. Until there is actually a new Libyan government I can't really say much about the new Libyan government. With that said, I doubt Libya is all of a sudden going to become this vibrant democracy. That is going to take time. Specific political movement are going to have to develop into parties, as is a legitimate judicial system, among other things. But the Libyan revolution has begun to lay the foundation for that vibrant democracy. This has been an important first step. GazaAli
In the Palestinian constitution, Sharia is stated to be the source of legislation too. Looking at the Palestinian financial, criminal and social legislation, that is hogwash. In fact, almost all of the Middle East states have Sharia as the source of legislation in their constitutions and no one acts upon it. Its like the "work under pressure" thing that all employers put in job ads.

And this is really nothing new in Libya. Gaddafi preached about incorporating elements of Sharia for years, and to a certain but limited degree he did (example: no alcoholic beverages allowed).
