Looks like Iran is calling upon the UN to intervene over the British authorities' "violent suppression" of the "protests".Deano

ahahahaa

oh man that is maximum trolling by iran.

but honestly he makes a point. I've never liked how western countries are so quick to praise civilian revolts against other govts. it doesn't like as the "will of the people" for "democracy".

rule of the thumb every country needs to stay out of other countries politics.

It's not like Iran is a stranger to international intervention and meddling in its own way.

The_Capitalist

Libya is trying to capitalize on this too:

"Cameron and his government must leave after the popular uprising against them and the violent repression of peaceful demonstrations by police. Cameron and his government have lost all legitimacy...These demonstrations show that the British people reject this government which is trying to impose itself through force".

And China:

"During and after the riots in London, the Chinese government as well as its media, unlike the UK government and its media in the past, has been able to refrain itself from blaming the British for cracking down on a 'revolution' by the youth. The Chinese media didn't challenge London's ability to hold a peaceful Olympic Games either, though it has the opportunity to do so ...To respect yourself, you must respect the others first. The UK, however, seems believe that to respect yourself, you must disrespect others. It should stop promoting this weird logic".

Telling people on the internet that you broke the driving law and possibly almost endangered someones life doesn't sound smart to me.

It's in the past, nothing happened, and it was a mistake. Who's going to testify against me for what? I've learned a valuable lesson to pay better attention in inclement weather, and that's all I'm going to take from this experience.

I'm just saying that no one is going to like you more saying that you drove on the wrong side of the road. The effect is just going to be the opposite.

I see it merely as a conversation topic. The goal is not to inherently have people like me more or less. It's just to talk about what happens in life, including mistakes as well as tough and dangerous situations.

[QUOTE="ajsmoking"] its not luck, i dont drive drunk, i dont drive tired, i dont drive unless im able to drive.ajsmoking

More power to you then.

you shouldnt be on the road, if you cant even figure a lane out. thats how people get killed. I can be blacked out drunk and even know that much.

I did not ask for an assessment of my driving skills or whether I'm fit to drive or not. And I quite clearly said that this was the first and only time it happend to me. Honest mistakes happen, and this was one of them. Now stop bothering me.

No. I have never been drunk. Why would I be stupid enough to do that?

This happened to me for the first time a few weeks ago. I chalk it up to poor visibility due to weather and not paying attention while I was turning. I basically ended up on the wrong side of a divided road. Thankfully, there were not many cars and I turned around quickly with no problem.

Has this ever happened to you? If so, what were the consequences?

I could use some of that stuff now. I've never slept easy at night, but for the last few days, I've taken quite a turn for the worse, including tonight.
