@ricklepick: What career? She's 53 now and hasn't voiced anything of relevance other than Bayonetta since Dragon Age: Origins in 2009. If she doesn't have a job other than VA work then she's not winning at life... and no, she shouldn't expect a studio to pay for her to not work since Bayonetta 2. That's not a thing. I hope she's been doing something during all that time.

@thejigga: I think there's something to being "the original" and the established voice, and I think you can negotiate on that basis. Continuity is important to a lot of people. But no... if you get too big for your britches, your ass is getting replaced.

@Tiwill44: Her last role of relevance as a VA outside of voicing Bayonetta was in Dragon Age: Origins in 2009. I have trouble believing that she put in serious effort to find other roles within that span of time... or she did and nobody saw fit to hire her to do a voice. She's not too poor to run a car because VA work doesn't pay enough... not if she thinks she can do one gig for a fucking action game of all things and think that's going to fund the next 5-10 years of her life.

I don't like the way she's speaking about this. She talks like she owns the character. She's saying stupid shit like Jennifer Hale has no right to say that she's the voice of Bayonetta or to sign merchandise as Bayonetta.

I've played it for about an hour now and I was struggling to stay awake. I think I just reached Act 3 so I haven't gotten to the combat yet. It's hard to describe what I find wrong with the game. There are no characters so far to have any sort of investment into anything that's going on. There's no story. There's no dialog. There's no real reason for anything that's going on in the game. Everything looks the same... which is cool when you first see it but the big gimmick of the game, the aesthetic, has already kind of gotten old for me an hour in. I like the sound design... the ambience of everything is haunting and the sound effects give weight to the machinery.

I don't know if I was expecting this exactly, but I was expecting this to completely fail to live up to what you would expect out of an 8-year project.

Junkrat's the only thing I miss about playing Overwatch, but that comes from playing a Demoman in TF1 (OG Quake TF1) and TF2 more than anything else. Nice to see him up there. Grenade spam is life.

Mmm... feel the World of Warcraft design model of having 17 different currencies so they can control the pace at which you can gain/use them to buy things/upgrade/progress whatever the currency was designed for.

I have no idea how they launched like this considering it's not really a sequel and the game they built on top of has been live for 6 and a half years. The DDoS thing and high server load on launch day should've been the only issues here. How much more time do you need to be relatively bug free?

@rohanrocks88: My "live service" has been World of Warcraft so for the past 18 years I've skipped practically all of this stupid shit that demands all of your time because I ain't got any. That's a long time to wait for me to be freed up to play a different one of these that demands all of my time.

Blizzard said this issue comes from players not completing their account merge process. Another factor is that items are taking time to populate from the original Overwatch to Overwatch 2.

I'm confused... they had to do that live? That's just database shit. They couldn't do that behind the scenes with a copy of what's there say a week or two before launch, and then they only have one or two weeks of new data to account for when OW2 goes live?
