Battle passes are actively preventing me from playing games that I know I won't have time for. If I'm in, I want to be all in and not missing shit... but because everything's a live service and battle passed, that's shutting me out of more and more games.
There's nothing a gamer does that a normal office bloke in a 9-to-5 working at a desk does. "Gaming" chairs are joke. Ergonomic office chairs are not. People should be buying ergonomic office chairs for their gaming needs but those aren't sexy... fucking bucket seats that destroy your spine are.
At least this partnership makes sense in that regard because Herman Miller is the Rolls Royce of office chair manufacturers and this is not a ridiculous bucket seat for a race car that they're trying to sell you.
Nobody's angry that this is closing up shop beyond anger over not supporting the game like you committed to. Realistically I don't think anybody can blame you if nobody's playing the game, but it's just another example of support for a game being conditional... not based on your word but based on the condition that it's worth supporting relative to how much money it's making. So when you release your next live service game, your word will mean **** all to me.
Can't speak for anybody else, but what I'm disappointed and angry about (at least now I am) is your continued commitment to live service.
Forza Horizon 5 was an absolute shit bomb for months after its release as it seemed like the game never knew how to handle the function relative to being connected to its servers until recently.
I like the art style of the characters. Maybe it's the screenshots but it feels a bit disjointed to me... the cars still look relatively realistic while the characters don't really seem to be cel-shaded in that they don't have the ridiculous black outlines, but the way the skin and clothes are shaded is similar to it. It's made worse by the cars producing odd-looking effects that look like they're out of a comic book. If they made the cars and presumably the world you're driving in look more like they did in Auto Modelista it would be a better fit and I'd be down for that. Hopefully it's just the screenshots and the reveal will make it more clear if there's more cohesion in art styles or not.
Probably the only realistic way that we would've ever seen the conclusion of the story at this point... and yet again, shafted. As a massive fan of the first two games... after Shenmue III and this I think I'm officially done giving a shit about the franchise.
Not that I give a shit about playing the game because I won't, but they had this in CoD Warzone and I couldn't play it because it didn't like my number... and they want you to submit photo ID or something like that to even open a support ticket to get assistance when you don't have an account. I wonder if this will be as disastrous for some people.
@Pyrosa: Different strokes for different folks. I guess it kind of rings true that if you like Dishonored, Prey, Bioshock or System Shock in the sense that I'm not particular fond of any of those games and I'm not fond of Deathloop either. People seem divided on it.
