@silv3rst0rm: I agree. I’m entirely burnt out on “run and hide” games, so being able to defend myself in RE8, enjoy actual gameplay and upgrade gear was nice. It just wasn’t scary whatsoever, except for one specific creepy part.
I’m also burnt out on open world games that force you to grind and do mind numbingly boring tasks for hours on end. I definitely prefer a shorter, story driven, more linear experience these days, unless the open world gameplay is done -extremely- well, which has become -extremely- rare.
@naryanrobinson: They already remastered Uncharted 1-3 for the PS4, so the basic conversion is already complete, meaning that a PC release wouldn’t even be complicated. Not to mention, there have already been rumors of the Uncharted Collection coming to PC, containing all 4 games. Cross your fingers. These games would play wonderfully with a mouse and keyboard.
@velite: Then everyone would scream sexist. You can’t turn a female led show/movie into a male led show. Has it ever been done? No. But there’s plenty of male shows and movies being turned into female led shows/movies. White characters into black characters, but never the other way around. That’s just the way of the world these days, which is why I stay away from media, aside from gaming.
@PernicioEnigma: The game has a ton of really bad textures throughout the game and a ton of really low poly meshes. This mod fixes all of them. It’s actually a very noticeable upgrade during gameplay.
As for view distance and LODs, you can tweak those in the config file already, so I’m sure they’ll bump that up for this remaster. HalkHogan’s HD Reworked mod is one of the highest quality mods that you’ll find in any video game and it stays true to the original textures, but with much higher quality.
