@emmanuelguerrero: Appreciate the input. Acceleration is one of the first things I turn off in games. I’ll test out the ray tracing and see if I like the effects enough to leave it on.
We’ll see about Returnal. I hope it does well and I hope the story turns out great, as I require a strong story and solid acting in a narrative driven game. This game seems to have a legitimate story with fleshed out cutscenes and all. I’ve only watched one trailer and a tiny snippet of gameplay, so I’ll be going in blind, which I like the idea of. I’d appreciate it if you let me know how much you like it, when the time comes.
@emmanuelguerrero: Who said I was going to play it on PS4? We already established that I own a PS5. I also own a good PC, but haven’t been able to get a 3000 series card yet, so if I do buy it, it will be on PS5.
@emmanuelguerrero: I said there’s nothing out -yet-. Those games aren’t out yet, so we don’t know if they’re worth it or not. Returnal being the only PS5 exclusive of the two, it does appear to be good and I have my eyes on it, but we’ll see how it turns out. I expect Village to be great and the Maiden demo was amazing with the PS5’s 3D audio. I won’t be skipping Village, but I can’t say that it’s worth getting a PS5 just to play it. It’s also releasing on last gen consoles, so it’s not a next gen console seller by any means.
@bdrtfm: I managed to get one from GameStop, but let’s be honest, there isn’t anything to play yet, except for Demon’s Souls. Let’s see if anything worth owning a PS5 for, releases by the end of the year. So far it’s just PS5 enhanced PS4 games.
@lonewolf1044: Brand new AAA games have been $50-$60 for the past 20+ years. If you calculate inflation, we should be paying ~$100 per game, but we’re not. Granted, PS5 and XSX games will cost $70 going forward. My point is, nobody should be complaining about price when we’re still paying the same price as we were 20 years ago, along with the fact that games today are of vastly superior quality and quantity, not to mention how much more they cost to make. Then we have Game Pass and PS Plus which give out free games, some even on launch day. Xbox Live has been $15 a month since the X360. You still only pay $15 a month, but now you also get hundreds of free games. Then you have games going on sale a month after release. Gaming has never been more affordable than it is today. Not even remotely close.
@kstaggs87: Agreed, though I’m still looking forward to the game. Guys will fling their seed at anything these days. Cringeworthy and embarrassing doesn’t say enough.
This should be a cool stretch of episodes. I don’t normally watch Jeopardy, but I’ll check it out for this. Even though I’m a Broncos fan, I’m also a huge fan of Aaron Rodgers.
