hello,
i recently installed a nvidia 9800 gt card for physx to work alongside my gtx 480 card. the install went fine and my FPS performance in batman arkham asylum and mafia 2 demo with physx turned high has noticeably improved.
after the install the ability to turn on stereo 3d in the nvidia control panel is gone and the 3d transmitter is blinking with a red light in front. i have driver 258.96. does anyone know how i can enable stereo 3d again?
also after the install of the 9800gt card the top left of my screen when playing a game says PHYSX GPU in weird grid-like letter. this has been observed in batman arkham asylum and mirrors edge so far. does anyone know how to get rid of the PHYS X GPU message on top?

Ive seen this problem before but remedies are quite rare.Usually the problem is setting the speaker config wrong (ex 2.0 audio set to 2.1 in game) as well as setting the audio settings in windows wrong. There are also situations wherein you check your CFG files in my documents or game folders, sometimes its also wrong (I also had this problem with Bad Company II and i just had to change settings in the cfg files in my documents).

what is weird is that it seems to be effecting every game i have
Check your audio settings or sound drivers. They are probably messed up or there is something wrong with the sound channels

audio settings in the games look fine. drivers appear to be up to date. how would i know if something is messed up with the sound channels?
I recently noticed in Mafia 2 demo (cutscene) and Resident Evil 5 benchmark test (cutscene) , Batman Arkaham Asylum (gameplay), there is sound except the voice dialogue is gone. Any suggestions on how I can fix this? i have a evga p55 ftw motherboard (audio ports are built in to the motherboard, no seperate / custom sound card) thanks for any help

thanks
i have a evga gtx 480 video card and overall i think it is incredible card. however i like to use nvidia 3d vision and i like to turn up phys-x to high in games that support it (batman aa, metro 2033, mafia 2, etc.....) i have noticed that combining 3d vision and phys-x can even make the most high end nvidia card (gtx 480) suffer when it comes to smooth framerates.
i do not want to go sli because i would need to buy a new psu and 480 card. so i figured the cheapest way to help my phys-x problem would be to buy another graphics card to dedicate to phys-x. because all this card would be taking care of is phys-x i figure i do not need a top dollar video card. i was thinking of getting one of the followinghttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130535&cm_re=9800_gt-_-14-130-535-_-Product OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130522&cm_re=220-_-14-130-522-_-Productthey both are around $50 with rebates so I figured that is not a bad price
if anyone thinks i could get by with a card that is even less expensive than the two mentioned before than please let me know. for example would this card be okayhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16814130543
any suggestions/ recommendations would be greatly appreciated , thank you i have a evga gtx 480 video card and overall i think it is incredible card. however i like to use nvidia 3d vision and i like to turn up phys-x to high in games that support it (batman aa, metro 2033, mafia 2, etc.....) i have noticed that combining 3d vision and phys-x can even make the most high end nvidia card (gtx 480) suffer when it comes to smooth framerates. i do not want to go sli because i would need to buy a new psu and 480 card. so i figured the cheapest way to help my phys-x problem would be to buy another graphics card to dedicate to phys-x. because all this card would be taking care of is phys-x i figure i do not need a top dollar video card. i was thinking of getting one of the following http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130535&cm_re=9800_gt-_-14-130-535-_-Product OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130522&cm_re=220-_-14-130-522-_-Product they both are around $50 with rebates so I figured that is not a bad price if anyone thinks i could get by with a card that is even less expensive than the two mentioned before than please let me know. for example would this card be okay http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16814130543 any suggestions/ recommendations would be greatly appreciated , thank you

to all you pc gamers out there, i was thinking of adding a separate graphics card to my pc for dedicated phys-x support i was thinking of getting [www.tigerdirect.com] or
[www.tigerdirect.com] not sure if i should go with a 512 mb or 1gb card? my pc manufacturer said to stay within the 350 watt minimum psu wattage requirement. if there are any other cards between $50 and $100 that might be better for phys-x please let me know. my current pc specs are below. i know i have an excellent graphics card i am only asking this because when i play batman arkham asylum or mafia 2 demo and turn the phys-x to max it drops the framerate significantly (especially while playing in 3d) so i figure if older video cards are cheap why not get one. thanks for any help,

thanks, but i know how to use the ps3 on pc, i just want to make the analog make the character creep slowly when i move it a little.
Why would you use inferior controls for a first person shooter that was obviously built around keyboard and mouse?
Hakkai007
simply because i prefer a gamepad over a mouse and keyboard. my job requires me to use a mouse and keyboard all day, the last thing i want to do is relax and play games with a mouse and keyboard. and when i played alien verse predator deathmath and borderlands duels on pc i would about 9 times out of 10 come in first place with using a xbox 360 controller, is that inferior?
i am using Xpadder to use a Ps3 controller to play Metro 2033 on PC. Everything works fine I was just wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the joysticks in Xpadder to be sensitive. Meaning if I lightly push the walking joystick foward I want my character to walk very slowly as supposed to full walking speed. i tried the sbox 360 controller and the joysticks are sensitive so i know it is possible, just not sure if it is possible or how to do it for the ps3 controller. please don't give a dumb answer like why don't you just use the 360 controller (i prefer the ps3 controller) Thanks for any help.
