Actually, I'm just going to continue on my previous comment, and point out some of the flaws. That's not saying I wouldn't want a new XBox, but I'm quite skeptical about this.
Let's start with the date, 2010. That was 2 years ago, so there's plenty of time to reconsider a lot of this, and think of new things. I think that this document was made in 2010 is enough said.
Updated Kinect. That just implies that Microsoft will continue on it's attempt at capturing the casual market, which is not really happening, since the casual player needs a 360 (Or 720 in the future.) to play Kinect games, and then he needs the Kinect, together it's a pretty hefty sum for a casual consumer. And having no controller at all to play games, is innovational, but it just help the argument of just going outside. I'm still waiting for hardcore Kinect games, that aren't broken. Until then, I'm just going to point at Kinect Tennis, or Wii Tennis, or PS Move Tennis, and say ''Go outside!'', since videogames were intended to have you do things that you normally wouldn't be able to do in real life.
Augmented Reality Glasses. Again, is that supposed to be casual? Is that supposed to just be a 3D feature? Is it supposed to be like the Google Augmented Reality Glasses, just limited to your TV screen? Or are they not limited? I can't really complain about that feature as much, because I really don't know what they are going to do with them. Sounds to me like just the next Kinect. Let's move on.
Always on functionality. So...much bigger electricity drainage for no good reason? Well, I don't see a good reason, maybe there is one, but I just don't see it. The same case as with the Glasses.
Cloud system. Seems kind of fine, though that would require you to be online for every single game that there is. And it would piss off GameStop. I have some more things in my mind, I just don't have the words right now, that's the problem of having English as your 3rd language.
That's currently all I have, I did want to type something else at one point, but I forgot it. I'll just post it as a reply to this comment after I remember it, in case anybody wants to know what else I think about this, which is as likely as a shark becoming the king of Jamaica.
I don't think it's true. The price could only bite them in the ass even with software titles, and the Kinect + Augmented Reality just cries out gimmickopalypse.
If the kinect 2.0 and Augmented Reality Glasses happens, I'll just stick to Sony and Nintendo. Even if they have their gimmicks, they at least don't have 2 gimmicks at once running.
@ColdfireTrilogy Was that meant to be sarcastic? Because it sure looked like that, if a high profile game isn't coming to a console that is said to be hardcore, then it's bad news for the console.
@Hillsy_ Maybe they'll include some kind of comic to tell what happened in the previous titles, but it's EA, so yeah, why the hell a sequal on a console that didn't have the previous installments.
@Stonecutters908 Dude, might I suggest researching for announced Wii U games? +, Nintendo UK's president recently revealed that there are many 3rd party Wii U games that we don't know about. And Reggie said that the 23 games they showed at E3, were just the tip of the iceberg. Don't make assumptions based on iformation on GameSpot, they are basically sabotaging Nintendo. I recently read that the guy who made the Final Fantasy franchise, and The Last Story, is looking forward to the Wii U. GameSpot does not like good Nintendo news.
People, this game was probably in development before the Wii U, and it's also pretty risky to jump on the new console train.
Ok, I'm just gonna type the things I wanted type.
Again, GameSpot, you've got nothing but bad news about Nintendo, might I introduce you to good news? I found them while searching on Googfle on a Nintendo news site, because I thought that it's kind of wierd that there's nothing but bad news, but what would you know, looks like GameSpot is trying to sabotage Nintendo, cough conspiracy cough.
And these are REALLY big news, they basically say that Nintendo is working on their usual games, like Zelda, maybe Metroid, maybe StarFox, BUT, the big news are, Nintendo seems to have NEW IP's!
So those are just some news I picked up, nothing special, APART FROM NINTENDO FUCKING ANNOUNCING THAT THEY'LL HAVE NEW IP's, since the last IP from Nintendo was Pikmin.
I actually kind of agree. Killing in games nowadays isn't that big of a deal anymore, as it was when Wolfenstein came around. I think the violence should be decreased, there should be bigger consequences, or at least some emotinal impact. You can't really expect from a human being to have nothing in their head while extinguishing the fire of life. Even if the person that is killed is the worst person of all time, or you are the one killing is the worst person alive, there should be thins like regret, adrenaline, and blood lust.
I really hope that the next gen will have a decrease in violence, because even if the game developers somehow manage to bring all those things to us, when we kill a virtual person, it just won't have that big of a impact, because we've been killing virtual people all our lives.
Not that good of a idea, Yerli, it limits your players to always being online, and (probably) have a pretty big bandwidth. It's not like you are making those cheap ass MMO's that still have that WoW combat, you guys are making full blown AAA titles as F2P, that's gonna limit people severly. Especially if the next gen of consoles kinda limits free to play, I think it's unlikely, but it could happen. So far we know that the Wii U will support F2P, but we do not know about PS4's/720's thoughts on F2P, they'll probably have the support, but we never know.
