Well it has been one week since Wii, launch one Wiik of gamer bliss.  I love my Wii,  It is possible that this system will directly lead to the future of gaming.  I cannot say enough good things about the Wii, I could fill up an hundred pages with my Wii love.  But, since that would take way to much time.  I'll do some Wii bashing instead and tell you everything I dislike about it.

1. No usb-flash drive/usb hard drive support.  Come on more people would rather own a flash drive than an SD  card (even though I personally have them coming out of every device I own).  Plus if they they just would have enabled USB hard drive support I could Play entire Mov file movies I have on my big tv instead fo my little computer.  Freaking idiots, Nintendo give us USB HD support or else!

2.  The thing is a vampire.  Not only is if freakishly (i've never seen the light of day) white, I have trouble playing it in the morning when I get off work.  The room My tv is in has 2 huge windows and to prevent their being reflection the TV is infront of the window (nearly) when the sun comes up the Wii mote thinks... hey that big warm thing must be part of my sensor bar = and forces me to stand up to play my games.  Wii + sun = sad me.

3. No online games... yet.  But that brings me to point 4

4. Crippled online play, Freaking console numbers, friend codes what ever you want to call them.  Nintendo is so afraid of internet preditors coming after kids that they insist on crippling the best part of online play, playing with people you don't know.  Instead of being able to jsut boot up a chat room you have to go and hunt online for other people to be friends with.  Freaking A this should be something that I can do from the system.  Okay once the web browser goes live I will be, but that I not what I meant and you know it.

I Am begging developers come up with a chat program that lets you save C#s like in animal crossing when a friend hosts a game you can get hte numbers of his other friends that join.  This is Vitally important.

5. Spendy controllers.  I don't care it if is made of solid gold, I don't want to have to send 60 dollars for a controller set.  Honestly couldn't they have dropped the price point on the mote and the chuck 5 dollars each so that they match up with Sonny.

6. Crippled MP3 play back... Okay you can only listen to MP3s during the playback of a slide show.  I guess it gives you something to look at but still, come up with some visualizations already.

7...... wait thats it, I can't think about anything else I dislike about the Wii, it actually makes me want to get an HDTV and nothing else has, just so I can experience it's 480 pness.

This thing is a great value.

I hate sports games but I love Wii sports, Sports are about doing and for the first time a console will let me do instead of just pressing a button.

I do not really like First Person Shooters, I love Red Steal, the control scheme is a blessing so much better than 2 analog sticks

It is small quite and adorable

Miis are Hilarious and messaging is a blast

The Wii is good enough to make me sit down again.  I may just replay Tales of Symphonia just so I can say I played it on my Wii.

Well I've put in over 10 hours of gaming between my and TheWeskers Wii's. And I have to say I'm going to have to keep it. Wii Sports is fun, Zelda is aweinspiring, Red Steel is great (but I'm only 2 hours in). Making Mii's, sending photos, I can't wait for a game I really want to show up on virtual console, But I want some new colors! and a way to tell my WiiMote from my wifes. So here is hoping for a mod job.

Well then now if I can get the Wii off my pants and hooked up I can try it out. Just got back from a big long camp out with my wife. I love you honey. She is obviously the one on the right holding my binder flipping us off and looking scared. Hmmm wish i noticed she was Flipping us off when I took it. Ohh well.



Ohh and yes that is TheWesker sitting by wife and using my neck pillow.

Just hooked up the Wii to my lap tops TV tuner looks okay. I know it will be better on a real tv. Lets see, all set up and updated. Got the Wii, extra mote, and chuck, and Red Steel... Make My Mii... Pop in Wii sports... Wish I could get back a bit farther on the bed... okay.... boxing... playing... Playing.... Fun!!!!! Wholy cow it's fun and I'm not even in a good spot to play it! This bears investigation... Bowling... Still fun very hard without standing up though. Looks good! Can't wait to hook this up in the living room and try it and red steel. Noticed the reviews of Red Steel keep getting worse the longer people play :-( ohh well The sensor seems to work well even when I am using it wrong so that is good news people! I hope Red Steel is better than people are saying... Ohh well. So exhausted was in the walmart well over 30 hours due to work.... Night all.

Hope to write about the camp out and HOPE the system makes me love it later can't say for sure now since I am miss using it but it seems good to go.

I picked this little cutey up at Hastings for 5 dollars. The Arsenal, Nintendo Ds charge stand is just that a lighted stand for charging your DS phat, and showing it off under a fly blue light. It would be especially coll to use on a modded or special edition DS.


The good:

• sturdy construction
• good place to store and show off your DS
• LED shines though and acrylic taco that holds your DS, when it is plugged in, giving a cool effect and a clear indication if it is plugged in.
• Eject button provides easy way to disconnect DS
• good balance and holds DS tight

The Bad

• No included cable, must be used with original or separately bought charge cable. Let me emphasize this is not a charger replacement it is a charger enhancement.
• Blue light on Blue DS looks kinda lame
  
• DS charges slightly slower
• This thing is freaking bright! It was hard to sleep with this on . Picture follows

Over all evaluation:
A fun toy but of little practical value unless you have a special edition or modded DS phat.

Wholy cow, Walmart kicked 4 people out who were camping for PS3s.  Manager says they can't start waiting till midnight tonight, and what is more they will have to wait outside, no tents.  We only have 6 of the $600 ones, good luck Chris.  Don't know about the $500's.  On a more positive note, they will be getting in 29 Wii.  LOL Hastings has no PS3, Circuit City only has 6 total, but they are letting people camp out already.  But I am annoyed at their camper becaue he is stealing power from a city light pole! Anger bah.

So you know what really makes me angry?  I work with a person that at least once a week says something deliberately hurtful to me.  In truth all the people I work with joke around in an insulting manor on a regular basis, and I usually give as good as I get, except with this person who I try to give this utmost difference.

 Now you see this person is temporarily (read for a few months) disabled, and as such gets so called "light" duty which because of their condition still takes them some time to finish. 

I on the other hand am one of a number of people who is not only normally well but on the whole does a good enough job that I get extra work assigned to me when ever there is extra work to do; I like it this way, I like feeling productive, I am among other mental problems codependent and so to feel greatly wards off depressive episodes.  This person who regularly insults me has an SO that also works there and is another one of the people who gets the extra work piled on them whenever anything goes wrong, so I would assume the person in question would understand the situation.

This week has had huge problems Thursday we were short one person who was sick, had one person who was injured, are short a person to start wirh, plus a large workload.  The injured person did the work of the aforementioned long term disability insulter.  I did the extra work generated from being down and extra person plus split the work load that we are normally short anyway.  Oh and had I mentioned I got thunked by a car in the knee on the way into work, It hurt like all get out but still moved.

Friday the sick person was still out sick, we lost a person due to job change and my knee instead of just hurting was now hugely swollen and hard to move, the aforementioned did their work, I did mine, had a ten minute panic attack where I just sat there and tried desperately not to scream (of course none of my coworkers noticed since they were busy with their own work), plus the work of 1 of the people we were short, the aforementioned SO did the work of the other person luckily for us.

Saturday I could barely bend my knee because it was no longer swollen just very stiff, but we had the sick person back, so that gave us full coverage on all the aisles.  Great Finally a chance to let my leg rest a little, so I took it slow I got my work done, with the help of the sick person, and I helped them back.  There wasn't any extra work to do so I didn't feel bad about not getting done early just for the satisfaction of getting done early.

Sunday, now we are short two people, one because of their back injury mentioned earlier, and the other I just don't know why.  After we have prepped our work load the manager assigns everyone but the person who had been sick and myself their work and then talking solely to use tells us to choose between ourselves.  While my knee didn't really hurt anymore I was having other problems that were no ones business but mine and management's, I was trying to communicate this to our manager when the SO of the long-term disabled buts in, in a mostly friendly jovial manner, I try to ignore them and talk to the manager but then the insulter joins in and complains about how long it took me to finish my work the day before.  I snapped, badly, at this person.  So I get taken to the office talked to about it, yes I know I shouldn't have snapped and sworn at them.  The manager tell me their will be a mutual apology and everything will be let go, me for lashing out at this person and from this person for insulting me and insisting in putting their concerns into other peoples business.  So, they are brought in and I apologize...  Now this is the whole point this is what really makes me angry, after I give my apology this person Insults me again and asks if that is all and if they can go.  THE MANAGER SAYS YES.  After telling me that I had a right to defend myself against what they said and it was only the manner in which I did it that was wrong the person who did the specifically wrong actions gets let off just like that.  First all someone who is in the position of having their work load reduced is in no place to complain about some one else when they have to take it slow, and more importantly this person was going to get talked to according to management but was just let go.  I thought maybe he just didn't want to talk to them in front of  me and I would get an apology later, but no, instead I get told later I am getting "verbal coaching" and this person is complaining about someone else's job performance during lunch!  I really hate being lied to by management.

Some of you may be hearing strange things about Walmart this holiday season. I've gone in depth to uncover the truth.

Walmart has stores of PS3 in the back: False, in fact they will not get them in until the 16th! So there is no use disguising yourself as an employee and trying to rummage around in th back room.

Walmart is cracking down on employee absenteeisms: True, do to unusually high rates of Gaming related absences, Walmart has hired assassins to execute all employees who fail to come to work and are found online playing games. Image Follows...

These assassins, not only have the job or tracking down absent gamers but also: protecting the Wii sitting in the back room, hunting down the person who leaked the black Friday ad, making sure everyone who buys a next gen system buys at least 3 games or accessories, delaying all third party game launches for PS3, hunting me down for revealing their identity, and if need be unloading trucks.

This has been another (but hopefully not the last) rumor control article. Ohh god what's that long black tube coming through my bedroom wind
