Well since you want to tone up and lose some fat... a cardio heavy routine will be good for you. Running is a great start, but can be painful on your joints... especially if your weight is up there. I don't know what your physical condition is now, so I'd say start with something you know you can manage. Start with about 30 mins of cardio, then work with light weights (won't beef you up) at high rep counts for another 30 mins. If you can't dedicate an hour then scale it back to fit your schedule. The main thing is to remain consistent. Once you've done it for a couple weeks it's much easier to stick with... the same goes for taking a couple weeks off. Try to get in at least 3 days a week now, and then work your way up to a 6 day routine. At that point you can alternate cardio days and weight training days. As far as specific excersices go, I'd say start with the ones that target the major muscles. Push-ups, crunches, squats are good to begin with and you can just use your body weight for the resistance. When it gets too easy add weights. Start with 10-12 reps of each at 3 sets each... only resting for about 30 sec between each exercise. The key here is keep your heart rate up to a level consistent with doing cardio work. Also, stretching before and after is a must and good way to do your cool down. You could even set a day for just stretching. Your body will thank you.

I don't like this 'help society' attitude people have. Everyone should just fend for themselves, and pay a bit of tax to keep essentials running. Which normal person would want to help their society, I do not understand this.Crunchy_Nuts
I agree partially here. It's not the government's job to "help society." If I want to help someone, then I will. Right now, I'm forced to pay into a tax system that helps a lot of people that I wouldn't help on my own. Why wouldn't I help them? They don't deserve it. They'll just be back in a month needing help with the same problems. Or, they'll come to expect me to help them... just like they do now with the government.

[QUOTE="ExponentTurnip"]Who do you think paid for the infrastructure to be built? Tax paying businesses like apple Marth6781
Actually it was the WW2 policies to expand american GDP. Government did all that because the market screwed up.

And where does the government get it's money?? The taxpayer!! How is this difficult to understand? The government uses tax dollars to operate. Those tax dollars come from individuals and businesses... unless you're GE, Bank of America, Solyndra, etc. The tax dollars are then used to fund military, building projects, interstates, power grids, and an endless supply of muffins at $16 each. So, if anyone owes anyone some gratitude for building businesses it's the government that owes the tax payer.

i always think of the southern states between Texas and Georgia/Atlanta, and south of Tennessee.

sSubZerOo
Geography is clearly not your strong point. Too many people have these presumptions about the south and it's people. But, most of the time they're wayyyyyy off. You should visit the south sometime... it's about the only place where common sense still resides.

Haha you mean like Texas in which their state house and senate majority want education to stop teaching students in critical thinking and reasoning?

Why do you say that? Because they want to teach creationism?

[QUOTE="TheWalkingGhost"][QUOTE="jun_aka_pekto"] I've also noticed nice little swastikas either on the windows or painted as graffiti on the three homes I've seen flying the Star and Bars.

jun_aka_pekto

Sorry, I think I may have misunderstood which flag you were talking about. Try not to judge just by that flag, I would own one just because I like the design.

It's the Confederate Star and Bars "X". Sure, it looks nice and symmetrical. But, I wasn't about to take chances especially with the secluded areas those three homes were in. From my own experiences, it's best to simply do what I need to do and then get the hell out of there. You never know if there's more of them around nearby.

Sounds like you ran across some of those Neo-Nazis again. They're using the Confederate Flag incorrectly. There's nothing racist/bigoted about it. It's right up there with the Gadsden (Don't Tread on Me) flag. It was about the states taking back their power from the Federal Government. Slavery was just a side note to the Civil War. But, in our history books it's made out to be the main reason of the war. What's funny is those same history books don't even mention the free black men that had slaves in that era.

What state is worse then? I can't think of any place worse than a desert full of bigots.

bigfoot2045
Wow. You couldn't be more wrong. AZ is just trying to enforce the laws that the Federal Government refuses to. Now President Crybaby has taken his toys and gone home because he doesn't want to play by the rules. The same rules he swore to uphold mind you. Immigration needs some serious attention, but for the sake of votes nobody really wants to tackle it head-on.

[QUOTE="jshaas"][QUOTE="BluRayHiDef"]

Some of the most atrocious events occur in Florida. For example, recently there was the Trayvon Martin Case, a case in which a woman was sentenced to twenty years for merely firing a warning shot to intimidate her abusive husband, the recent case in which Florida police killed a man whom they wrongfully identified as a suspect, and so on and so on. In light of these events, what do you think of Florida? I personally would never go there. It seems to suffer from some serious problems regarding its social sphere and its law system.

Florida has the worst drivers for sure. Why? Because they're all from places like Ohio, Canada, New York, etc. Just to be clear... the woman did fire a warning shot. She was trying to kill her husband... with her kids standing behind him. It also wasn't the first time she tried something like this. Warning shots are usually fired in the air, not the wall.

She fired a warning shot into the ceiling.

Do your homework good sir. LINK

You'll see that she not only left the house to go outside and get her gun from the car, but when she fired... the shot hit the wall and then the ceiling. You don't point a gun a someone to fire a warning shot.
