If they made it more melee esque, I would be all for it.

I would say something but I do not want to start another debate about about advanced techniques and stuff, so I will just say this.

At the moment, I think Melee's core gameplay is better, but Brawl has better character selection and stage selection.

HOWEVER, it should be remembered that Brawl is only 4 months old, it still has plenty of time for the metagame to develop to the caliber of melees.

Long Answer: It is still too early to make a call.

Doesn't effect me much, the stores around where I live stopped selling gamecube controllers like a year ago It is a pitty since all mine are not perfectly fine. Off to amazon and ebay...

The most recent mentioning of splitscreen was like a month go in an interview to like kotaku or something, they said, splitscreen, not in this version, LAN, very likely, never specifying if version meant the build of the game, or if they implied they were thinking of a sequel, hopefully the former. Granted, they also said before E3 all they are doing now is polishing and multiplayer.

Short answer: Unsure, probably not FOR NOW.

Long Answer: We will have to wait and see.
