So I thought they were just starting to work on the online but they already have the 16 player online up and running!

http://gonintendo.com/?p=49579

IMO, I would rather they delay the release for splitscreen if they have too. I think it would be unacceptable that I should have to buy 2 more wiis and 2 more TVs just so I could play this game with my brothers and friends. I want local as much as I want online. Online gives me the power to always play the game competitively, but local is where I can get the most fun. I mean, I am the only one with a wii among my friends, and if I want to play this game with them than I should be able too without them paying. If a rushed red steel was able to do it, granted they did not have online, and it was ubi, I still think they should take the time to get splitscreen, and perfect dark ****sims down. That said, I am still going to buy this game and support it no matter what as these guys are putting alot of effort and heart into this game, but no splitscreen=no buy at launch. I mean, it would be pretty lazy of the hardest working 3rd party to not include splitscreen. I think they can get the framerate thing fixed.

I remember in some article I read that they read these forums every now and then, but I forgot where it was, sorry.

I have had a wii since launch and the internet was been working flawlessly, and I had been playing mario kart online daily without lag.

Last week I decided to hook up my DS's wifi. Ever since then my wii's wifi has not been working at all. It passes the connection test when I check wii settings, but I can't play games on the net anymore, nor can I update. The error code was 32002 I think, and I have never gotten this error code until I set up my Ds's wifi.

-Addd split-screen multiplayerJAB991

AMEN to that.

I remember back in the perfect dark days, my two bros and I would make 2 teams. 1 team was us, the other team was the hardest sims we had, dark sims, perfect sims, turtle sims, etc. And we'd kick there butts. Not asking conduit to have sims, but splitscreen has given many a good memories.

This was poster earlier but within one day it went all the way to like the 4th or 5th page, probably because people are to busy complaining.

I think we should look at E3 from a different perspective. The "core gamer" does his research on games, and sometimes we can even discover a game is being made before it is officially announced. When we hear a rumor, we pounce on it, research it, yada yada yada. We are already aware of whats going on in the gaming business, or at least, to an extent.

On the other hand. what about the casual player? The casual player will probably just peek at his sunday flyers or look at whats in the store, and not research as far in depth as we do. Case in point, in March, my friend, who is a casua,l said he was not getting a wii because it did not have mario kart, to which I told him dude it was announced last year to come out in like April. The casual is not as aware as we are

So, how do you make those casuals more aware of their casual games? Hrrrmm.... theres this huge event, and while it has been dumbed down, all these media outlets cover it, and the press is rampant. There is a chance casuals may hear in on E3. So why not show off your casual stuff at the biggest press event for video games.

Ninty wants to use E3 to spoon feed the casuals, which is a shame, imo becasue they promised to use key franchise, and we only saw a casual/hardcore style game in animal crossing.

I think this is signaling the end of megatons at E3 forever, On a side note, in that gamespot article where microsoft mentions it was the one who pulled the plug on bungie at E3 for time contraints, they mentioned they wanted it to be presented at a more dedicated event. Wonder what that meant...

I don't care if they have to leave the environments as they are at the moment, I want my splitscreen! lol. If they need to sacrifice the graphics a little to have OMG gamplay, so be it. But I guess that would put them in a tight spot with the promise of early 360 graphics. 5-8 months left to work on polishing/multiplayer they better get it done. And the conduit 2 hasn't been confirmed yet, when they said not in this version it may have meant the current build of the game.

[QUOTE="jsquared0905"]On a side note, do you guys think they will reveal the core games without an event from here on out? Like Star Fox, DK, Kid Icarus, or is E 4 All the place to see your core games now?MangaPicture

What's E 4 All ?

Anyway, as said before, they'll perhaps have another Fall Conference this year and Iwata is also always giving a speak at TGSI guess... ( as always )

The 1st time i heard of it was last year. The main reason I remember it was because there were demos of Starcraft 2 and Brawl.

BUMP to keep this on the front page.

A 10 year console is way too long imo, 5 or 6 years is fine. That gives us enough time to possibly see sequels to the big guns.

On a side note, do you guys think they will reveal the core games without an event from here on out? Like Star Fox, DK, Kid Icarus, or is E 4 All the place to see your core games now?

PLEASE NO FRIEND CODES CRAP!!!!

Really though, my biggest want, is SPLITSCREEN MULTIPLAYER. They have 5-8 months before this games release (q1 09) and they claim to be only polishing and working on the multiplayer. They say they copied shamelessly from games like perfect dark, halo, and golden eye. All 3 had splitscreen, yet it is highly plausible conduit does not. I don't understand how they made this game thinking of the gamer who hangs out with friends playing videogames in the basemebt and not include splitscreen. IDK about you guys, but with me nothing beats the atmosphere of your brotheres and friends in the same room in a heated deathmatch. No good FPS on the wii has had offline multiplayer yet. If the rushed Red Steel was able to have it I do not see why not Conduit.

While I think good online will be the bread and butter of this game, there is no reason my brother or friend should need to get another wii just so we can play each other. Granted, I will probably buy this game as it looks amazing, but I will probably take a wait and see approach with no splitscreen.

This should be bumped before we get more omg nintendo's turned their back on us comments. After the conference I hoped that Nintendo was just taking a new approach to the E3 conference, and not going balls out casual in video game philosophy. Miyamoto saying this sure cleared the air IMO.

But now where do we, the core gamer, get our event where we see what we want? The only two big events left are leipzeg and TGS, which Ninty almost never attends(excepts with the revealing of the wiimote). Maybe Nintendo thinks the core gamer does research, and therefore does not need a large conference for a game to be revealed, because we already know where we can find those videos and picures, and gameplay info, but since the casual gamer does not do research, then they need a big conference to show off their casual stuff.

Does anybody think we will get some kind of demo at E 4 All?(IE: Conduit, Madworld, or some other 09 release) Because they did it with brawl.

Someone referred to that interview in which they said no splitscreen. 2 things should be pointed out giving a little hope to those like me who want split screen.

1. They said not likely.-They did not use an absolute.

2. They said not likely IN THIS VERSION.They did not clarify if version meant they might make a Conduit 2, or if they meant in the current build of the game.

3. In an interview with either Gamespot or IGN, they stated that when they thought of multiplayer they thought of friends and family playing each other in a basement like atmosphere. HV wants this to be what Perfect Dark and Goldeneye was to the N64 in the good aspects, splitscreen was one of them.

4. In the interview with IGN in which they said they will be at E3, they said there mostly polishing and working on multiplayer. Seeing how this is a Q1 release of 2009, this game is still 5-8 months away.

Of couse this is all speculation, and we may find out for sure tommorrow at the Ninty Presser.

On topic, I will definitely support this game, the question for me is the splitscreen, which will decide if I do all in my power to get it 1st day or within the week.
