When I think overrated, I think a game that was hyped beyond belief, gets good sales number, and good reviews, and how I felt about the game when I played it. Just remember this is my opinion.

Overrated- SSBB by far. The only game I waited to release for at midnight, and by far one of my biggest let downs on the wii. Online multiplayer was a huge letdown, they should have put more effort into it rather than have all those useless things (stage builder, demos, coin shooter, etc) On top of that, the actually gameplay of melee AT THIS POINT IN BRAWLS METAGAME is far superior. Brawls gameplay was slowed down and dumbed down hardcore. In fact, dumbed down waaay too much for a game geared for the hardcore gamer. A maybe an 8,5ish game at best in this point in time, yet it gets a 9.5 and millions of sales, you know somethings wrong when I put more hours into madden than into brawl, and this is coming from someone who loved melee consistently before brawl(and even played it the hours before I bought brawl) and was overly excited for brawl. The saving grace for brawl though is that melee's metagame was still developing 2 or 3 years in, and even near the end of its life, brawl is only 4 months old, there is still a change a gamebreaking technique can be discovered which will speed up the game and develop new strategies. For a fighting game there are way to few true combos.

Honorable mention: MP3- I agree, it was visually stunning, but the game itself seemed a little bland to me .(I fell asleep in the middle of a mission) It is only an honorable mention though because its sales numbers were pretty low I think. I wish ninty put the time into having corruption have online.

Underrated- MK Wii- Sure, the item balance is ridiculous, but lets remember this has always been Ninty's casual/harcore game thats suppose to appeal to both, and I think it has. The item problem is a consequence of something we all wanted, more racers. The bottom half gets good stuff, top half mediocre. That means there is 2 more slots getting OMG stuff to throw at you. I found this game very fun, and I have logged way more hours into it than I have brawl. The online is perfect, though losing 150pts per lagout is pretty owwy. This game was rated lower than Double Dash and I beleive this one is better.

If they're already nearly finished with the single player as they say and working solely on multiplayer and polishing, they better do something about local multiplayer. I was seriously turned off when I read some interview where they said splitscreen unlikely in the current version.(No link, sry) Hopefully current version meant there will be splitscreen in the final versionl. I really want splitscreens because while online multiplayer is probably the bread and butter of this game, nothing can replace having a room full of friends trash talking and stuff in the middle of a heated deathmatch.*Thinks back to perfect dark days* On top of that, no local multiplayer was one of the big reasons I didn't get MOHH2, the other reason being it was in WW2. This game looks sick IMO, and I probably will still get it splitscreen or not, right now to me local multiplayer is the difference between get it at launch or wait and see how people feel about the game.
