New respect for Apple.

Don't do it, Apple.

This is the start of an Orwellian state. America is already one of the most censored nations in the world. Do not make the country into a Orwellian control state.

The good news is that there will always be Chinese and Russian companies who will make phones without a backdoor to counter the Americans. Expect to see Cheap Chinese phones with no masterkey if Apple gives in.

All this means is that people will start to use phones made outside of US jurisdiction, doesn't really solve anything.

Movies and books can pace you according to the authors needs, and pull you in directions that it wants, open world cannot. Also open world games cannot instill the internal, the thoughts that lay too deep for tears as they say. Which movies and books can.

There is good and bad on both ends of the spectrum. The only games that have come close are some the Cage games, even then it's no where near movies and books, when it comes to the internal nuances of the story and the character.

There is something good in forced pacing that can be used to manipulate the audiences in ways that cannot be achieved when given free will.

@jwsoul: Beauty will always be equated to success. Not a dated format, it's human evolution. We are genetically engrained to seek perfection in both mind and body.

There was a time long long ago when beauty was not equated to success somewhere in the caveman era, but over the eons of evolution we've grown to seek a more perfect version of ourselves.

Beauty and brains they go hand in hand, we will always seek both preferably together.

On a side note, people with immense beauty, will chose brains over beauty simply because they know their offsprings will be beautiful regardless, hence they seek perfection in mind as a trade off for what they lack.

@frika153: Who do you think invented the film industry people like Brad Pitt, no ugly fcks like Spielberg and Scorsese, but guess what makes the film industry glamorous and marketable. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence. Get real, and stop living in lalaland. Beautiful people are marketable and ugly people are not.

The fact that you won't watch the Oscars shows how completely out of touch with reality you are. Keep living in your cave.

The game industry like most industries are made by ugly people, beautiful folks don't have the time to make industries. Even the fashion industry was created by ugly people, ever see Versace in person, one ugly fcker.

BUT, understand this, every single industry in the world though created by uglies were marketed and made mainstream by beautiful people, from tech, to fashion, to gaming. Glamor sells. Ever see an ugly fat scientist selling an electric car? NO, even the car was created by the fat guy, he stays in the corner, while the hot chick poses in front of the car. Same goes for every single industry. Ever see tobacco farmer sell cigarettes? NO, How about a nerdy brewer sell Vodka, NO. Hot chicks do.

If the game industry keep parading nerds around it'll never hit critical mass, why do you think Square Enix is hiring Miss Universe, cause beauty sells.

You sound like some delusional nerd. Get with reality. Know why nobody watches video game award shows, yes you guessed it, its filled with uglies. Get some beautiful stars up on that stage, and in 10 years you'll start to see game award shows on national television in 4k.

Just my 2 cents. Keep the dorks in the back room making the games, let the good looking people market it. Got nothing against dorks, just being real.

Kudos to Square. Gaming needs more hot women, as many as possible, at every event.

Ain't nobody wanna see a bunch of nerds like Kojima at every event, dorking the place up.

For gaming to become more mainstream like cinema, they need to make it more hip, and hiding the nerds in the background and using more super models is the best way to make anything hip. Would anyone watch the Oscars if the red carpet was filled with Spielberg and Scorsese, no.

Pave the way Square, pave the way.

@joshrmeyer: I agree with miss Universe, but World Champs are just that WORLD champs, they are not universal. Otherwise they would be called Universal Champs.

I think there are not enough women firefighters and sumo wrestlers.

I've never been saved by a female firefighter ever, nor have I ever seen a female sumo match. And I watch lots of sumo.
