Or an interface for some type of media program for a media center PC.

Yeah, they perform the same. Some company USED to make a low profile 9800 GT.Just curious, low-profile cards aren't any different from standard cards right? They still perform the same?
Vuud
Look at that, they still do.

You know Microsoft got sued over their minimum requirements for Vista right for the Vista capable logo right?Yes. I played everything at max settings, without AA of course. And if they want to get technicall and sue me, You technically can play it with max AA too, it'd just be really slow :P
RedxSniper
When I hear or see maximum I think in my mind DX10 with everything max. Because that is what maximum settings mean. EVERYTHING is at max, not just selective stuff.
You need to put that information in then. Since you kind of are false advertising and even if you aren't a major company some could sue you if they actually believed they could play they at max setting.
Just something to think about.
Add pictures(with digital camera) of CPU-Z running showing all tabs, run multiple instances if you think that would work better. Run a GPU-Z as well for the video card. This will help confirm the components.
That computer may be able to play Crysis at Maximum settings, doesn't mean it's PLAYABLE at maximum settings.
Run some benchmarks on it and then put links to comparable benchmarks on the page.
If it doesn't sell in about 3 or 4 weeks, break the PC up and sell it piece by piece.
exactly, that's his point, but I suppose that they wouldn't be entirely worthless, considering that you card could be freed up from the load of calculating the physics, which probably doesn't affect it too muchAll you would need for Physx though would be a 8600 GT/9500 GT at MINIMUM though. A 8600 GT is $50. A 9500 GT is around $60. If I went PhysX though, I would try and get 9600 GSO at least or a single slot 9800 GT.dackchaar
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but aren't the dedicated cards worthless if he has an nVidia card?
organic_machine
Yes, because a dedicated GeForce video card for PhysX would be faster and have more RAM than a PhysX card.
[QUOTE="codezer0"]And what the **** does "being based around a console" have ANYthing to do with it, or this discussion?d-rtyboyWell, games that are based around consoles are going to perform better simply because PCs are more powerful. IIRC, the Xbox has a neutered 7950 as a graphics card, so obviously Far Cry 2 is going to run a lot better on a gtx when it was designed to run on an outdated gpu. Further, I'm sure they programmed it to run at 30fps and made the game pace well for that. Crytek didn't do that with Crysis and that is not to say they didn't do a good job of it. At any rate, I played the demo with an athlon x2 3800 and a 7950gt and it wasn't too bad and looked good as well, so I'm not really sure what the complaining is all about.
The 360 has a neutered R600 chip from ATI, IE HD 2000/HD 3000 series.
The PS3 has a neutered GeForce 7800. Which can ALMOST be compared to a 7600 GT.
Yeah...no.
There are much better FPS games out there. Warhead is a great game, don't get me wrong, but it is definitely not the pinnacle of the genre. That title would go to something like Half-Life 2 or System Shock 2.

IMO, Crysis is nothing special. All it is is your average FPS game, the only thing it did different was the the power armor and the zero-g area and the zero-g area wasn't very big or long.
IMO, a better FPS game would be STALKER Original and Clear Sky as well as HL2 and Portal.
