Yeah you're right, SW is full of cliches and biases. The problem is, in trying to disprove that mentality, you're doing the same thing.

That's the problem, it doesn't tell a very different story from what any objective person would know..i.e. both the systems have comparable libraries. If one doesn't have a decent gaming rig, then he just maybe inclined more towards the 360. If someone enjoys great SP campaigns with great storytelling and visuals then he/she might lean toward the PS3. In this age of mutliplats being the rage(really, there's only Halo uptill now, which can stand with the big multiplat boys), you can't really carve any console's superiority or inferiority in stone. The best way is to have both; if for some reason you can't have both, then choose the one that suits your tastes. Just don't go trying to justify your choice with outrageous comparisons, lists and what not.

EDIT: I see you're still doing the same thing. "PS3 is ahead" in response to one poster, even after I mentioned those 5-6 games you missed and acknowledged. You respond to me with the "quality" argument. But in response to him..you go back to the LIST and talk his own language. Just going back n forth with any argument that suits the purpose.

You think you are disagreeing, but you're actually agreeing with what I said. You say, it's all about quality..that's correct, and quality is all about individual tastes/prefrences. If what you just said was the sole point of you making this thread, then why make a big detailed list(albeit incomplete)? You could have just said that I prefer the great games PS3 offers me over what the 360 has to offer...end of story. You have every right to that opinion.

But you went ahead and made a list with statistics(which deal with averages). By that account, with the 5-6 games you missed, you're effort actually went in vain. Don't think of me as someone trying to antagonise you or trying to be pro360. As I said, I love both my consoles...I just find this SW mentality very disturbing.

I don't know, it's your list so maybe you can make it more accurate. I was just trying to point out some discrepancies.

Of course, it really doesn't change much if you're talking about opinions. Which is actually how it always should be; you prefer console X's library, someone else prefers console Y's library. We should just leave it at that and enjoy the plethora of great games this generation has given us.

Althogh, it DOES change a lot for the list you made. Right now it's 26 V 26..when it really should be 26 V 31/32(depending if you inlcude ME2 or not). The point is; if you were trying to legitimise your opinion/preference with empirical proof, then you lost, unfortunatley. However, if you prefer one system over another because of your gaming tastes or whatever, then it's back to opinions again..and the thread shouldn't have been made in the first place.

I don't question him using MC or GR. I think it's just the right way to do it; an average of the industry's opinion is always better. Even still, he missed those games I mentioned for the 360..someone correct me if I'm wrong about those games though.

It has made a commendable comeback no doubt. The great influx of quality exclusives over the past couple of years made me finally get one.

As someone above me said, that 80- cut-off does really do injustice to some games like Lost Odyssey, Banjo and Ratchet & Clank games.

I love both my consoles, 360 mostly for gaming with friends family(co-op, splitscreen) and PS3 primarily for SP games and media streaming etc. I really don't prefer one over the other, but I thought I'd just point these mistakes out in your list. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the games I mentioned were not(or aren't yet) released for the PS3.

Not imo, it's definitely one of the best SP experiences this gen.

Most overrated/overhyped is a toss between GTA4 and MGS4 for me.

These are the games that really amazed me the first time I played them. I could find little to no fault with these games(for their genre and their release time)

I only posted that link to show that Halo is right UP there with the best of the best, as far as franchise popularity is concerned. I'm not saying it's "definitely" the biggest, but it is in the same ballpark as the Marios and Zeldas. Oh, although I've never played a single GH game, but I have no qualms in denying that it's HUGE.

Don't confuse "biggest" with "best". It's more to do with popularity and public awareness.
