@saadomar90 Is the terrible graphics in relation to Earthbound? That's an SNES game lol it's just getting put out on the online store because it's awesome.

@instigator81 If as a consumer I can do whatever I want, then banning used games should be out of the question.

@RyoEspada @lex_in_the_moon Exactly. It would also be interesting to see if certain third party companies would end up siding with one or the other. A strange gen for gaming, this next one might be.

I've had every Nintendo console up until now and I have no plans to purchase a Wii U at this point as there is nothing worth purchasing it for even with a price cut. I'm sorry to say this and I really hope Nintendo gets their act together and puts out the games it needs to to draw players in (and no, not just the next Mario, Zelda etc.).

@oria I too sometimes find myself using amazon when they have major price cuts and it does look like online purchasing is becoming the new, convenient direction. But the amount of jobs that will be lost as a result is frightening.

@oria Yes I do agree with you and see what you're saying; I simply wanted to bring up a point that many people seem to be forgetting here and that is our game-exclusive retail stores. Remove used games and you may remove them as well. Just food for thought.

@RyoEspada Regarding your first point, if the new Xbox really does remove the option for buying used, then I wonder what would happen with multi-console releases? Just a thought.

@oria Even if this were to happen Gamestop would probably still offer a used game option for a couple of bucks less and people would buy it just to save that small amount. Also you are forgetting a possibility that if used games were out of the equation stores like Gamestop might not be able to survive compared to the larger corporations that also sell games (Best Buy, Amazon) and is that really what we want? I know I want Gamestop/EB to stick around.

But then if people stop buying used, then the game-exclusive retail stores (EB, Gamestop) will start going out of business and we certainly don't want that either. Gotta stop the growing domination of online purchasing.

@leviathanwing @lex_in_the_moon Everything you say is right, it's just personally I'm not looking to buy a next gen console (at least not for a while) and this seems very interesting so that's all I meant. He can go ahead and release it for whatever he wants.
