Pregnancy and Puppies Update

Just thought I would update you all on Molly's pregnancy, and her puppies.

There's no doubt about it, Molly's carrying at least 3 pups. You should see her belly! Tomorrow (Monday) we're going to find out just how many she is carrying, and then we can sort out this bet. But she's doing fine, sleeping a lot and always eating (a lot more than normal), I would take a photo but anyone knows a gal doesn't like to have pictures taken of her when she's feeling weary all the time. She must store up her energy.

Anyway, I'll let you know how the vet's goes, and if you want to bet on how many puppies she'll be having, consult Charlotte.

Take care. xo

PS. Has anyone else seen this new "bug"? You write a comment on someone's blog, and it comes up "Error" and says you don't have access to write a comment. So if I haven't commented on your blog today, that's the reason! Grr...

The Waitress I Battled... and Won!

Over at Suz's blog, she was telling us about the horrible service she received at a restaurant, and that the waitress was rude etc. Which got me thinking about a time where we (fiance and I) got bad service at a restaurant, and how I gave the waitress a taste of her own medicine. When I look back on the night, I feel ever so proud.

Well when we arrived, we ordered, and had to wait nearly an hour for our meal. When it FINALLY did arrive, the waitress was rude to me, but was sickly sweet to fiance. She turned to me and said "There was trouble with this meal." and then turned to fiance and said "But I'm so sorry it took so long, hopefully there won't be anymore complications with the chef tonight." Doesn't sound rude, but if you heard the horrible way she snapped at me, then turned to fiance and put on sweet, sweet voice and smiling and tossing her hair back. Arrgh.

She went away after a while, she kept coming back to re-fill our drinks and take plates etc, and flirted again. When we wanted dessert she took fiance's order, and when it came to my turn I gave her a taste of her own medicine. Kept changing my mind and going "Oh, wait, no...", I made her wait this time, while occasionally flashing my engagement ring to let her know what she was up against. When she came back, it didn't stop her, she still flirted. So I excused myself from the table, and went to talk to her. I told her she was flirting with my fiance. She responds "Oh I didn't realise I was flirting.". I said "Well whatever you are doing, stop it!"she shut up, and never bothered us again. Guess she was scared of me after that. I'm the type of woman people flirting waitresses don't want to mess with.

Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to the doctor to get my blood test, hopefully it'll go well.

Take care everyone. xo

Top 5 TV Couples

Happy Valentine's Day! Fiance and I are going out for dinner tonight to celebrate the day, but first I wanted to give you a top 5 list of my favourite couples on TV.

I wasn't really that big of a Ross/Rachel fan, but I loved Chandler and Monica! They brought some of the best storylines and humour to the show, Friends, and was pleased to see them get their happy end during the finale.

From Sex and the City. This couple was on and off for the whole series, until at the end they finally decided to give it a go- for real, right after Big went to Paris to proclaim his love for Carrie and lure her away from the nasty Russian.

From ER. First they were together, then they broke up for a couple of years, then they got back together and had a baby! Will ER fans finally get the wedding they dreamed about?

From Greys Anatomy. They started of as enemies, then friends, then well.... "a lot more than friends". But then they broke up after deception. Alex still obviously has feelings for Izzie, but does she return them?

From Lost. He was the ever so "charming" bad boy, and she was the island's fugitive who had changed her bad ways. A near death experience brought them together.

Now to the heart attack business, normally Molly sleeps on my bed at the end. Anyway, last night at about 2am I woke up to hear Molly barking- in her sleep. Scared the hell out of me! I woke her up from her nightmare, and she felt better then. I have a strange dog, but also a very adorable one!

Until next time folks. Take care, xo.

Bets, Morning Sickness, and a whole lot of other Topics!

It seems someone (Charlotte!) has started a bet into how much puppies Molly will be having. I'm all for it, of course I can't participate since I will be the one finding out, and will probably be tempted to lie if I'm wrong. But... what does the winner get?

Molly got her first lot of morning sickness (yes, dogs get it too!), very unpleasant for both of us. I took Molly to the vet yesterday afternoon, and we learned she is exactly 37 days into her pregnancy. Now, you don't technically learn a dog is actually pregnant until after 28 days, but there was no hints before 28 days. It was her unusual behaviour that striked me as odd.

I've also been preparing myself for when the puppies arrive, devoting a whole room to them. I got to buy beds for them, and food and drinking bowls as well, until they get new owners. Another horrible part about having the puppies born is that they need to get their tails chopped off. I don't do this! The vet does it properly, but I've seen Old English Sheepdogs with tails and it looks horrible. They don't recommend taking the tails of here, but so much well, bad things could happen to the tails if their kept on. Like constant cleaning, "their business" on it, flies and other insects hanging around it, nope, definitely not a good idea.

The last few weeks have been great. We've both been getting some rest, since there is such great TV on right now. Desperate Housewives, My Name Is Earl, How I Met Your Mother, and Border Security have all returned to my screen at long last. This week see's the return of Lost and The Worst Week Of My Life (ABC). And last week I watched the premiere Brothers and Sisters, which was great! But still no ER. Typical Channel Nine are always so slow . Channel Seven definitely have the best line up, with all those shows, except for ER and The Worst Week of my Life.

Yesterday we got our first lot of rain and grey skies as well. A very big change from what we've had lately, and today hasn't been much change.

And in other news, I've gained a new editorship: My favourite boy band: Blue. Their British, spunks and their music is great!

Anyway thats all. Take care. xo

Yet another Overdose Death In Hollywood...

Anna Nicole Smith at the age of 39 has died over what has alleged to be an overdose on weight loss pills. It's not been confirmed that was the cause of the death, but an autopsy will be performed today to discover the actual cause.

I never was a fan of Anna's, but it is very sad. Her son only died 5 months ago from a rumoured drug overdose, and also she is the mother of a 5 month old baby girl. Hopefully the death will draw awareness to the dangers of even a weight loss pill. I've seen many people with problems like these during my day job, so it distresses me more to think about it, if a Hollywood star is taking these pills, an ordinary person may start taking them but will think "I'll take them at the adviced usage", but then their desire to become thin becomes out of control, and an overdose and even death occurs. I should know, I spent a good 3 years studying issues like this.

In not so dull news, or more like tv.com news:

I have a new editorship: Rosemary Clooney.

and Molly is doing well too. I'm dying to find out how many puppies she is having though!

Take care everyone. xo

Pregnant...

No! Not me. My dog, Molly. We've been trying to breed her for years with another sheepdog and it's finally happened! My girl is expecting puppies.

I can't wait! Now this means, technically since I treat Molly like a child, does this mean I'm a grandmother? And at 23 years old?

No you may asking, how on Earth did we discover this? Well I knew something wasn't right with Molly. She was always sleeping when she's such an energetic dog, wouldn't eat meals and is well.... always grumpy. So I took her to the vet, and after a test and ultrasound, diagnosis: Pregnant! Hooray! I'm definitely keeping one of Molly's bub's. She's having more than one the doc says.

And I have to deliver the puppies. Only if theres complications do we take her to the vet. I've seen a woman in labour, but a dog? Hmm...

Did you know the female dog is pregnant for only 63 days? How lucky! Why do we have to wait 9 months? Anyway, she's a month into her pregnancy, which means she's due sometime in March. I will get the exact date from the vet on her next visit in a weeks time. Until then, wish me luck!

The Elephant then fell in Love with the...

Howdy! After this blog post I should hopefully get a new emblem for over 50 blogs.

Also, thanks to Formulakaz for making me trusted for Kate Ritchie, and Belinda Emmett (who died last year). I also have a new level: Fall Guy. Not quite sure what to think of that one either!

I heard from Libby yesterday, she said she had a rather bumpy flight to London and then an even worse flight to Edinburgh. But she's settled in her new home by now, and you'll hopefully hear from her soon.

Until next time. xo

Is there a Doctor in the House?

Not as quiet as first thought. Anyway, I went to the doctor before I went away on business, I got a blood test (actually, the woman who did the test was a friend of mine from high school, it was great to catch up with her even if she is sticking a needle in me!), and called up for the results today. Long story short, I need to go back in 3 weeks time for another because there is something unusual going on with my Thyroid...? Huh? He said to take it easy and not to do any physically demanding activities like running etc. And also, the test in 3 weeks is to make sure that it's not getting any worse. Otherwise I will need medication, or it could turn into something much worse.

I called my mother up, because she's a nurse and understands this medical jumbo. She said that a Thyroid is in the neck, and it's symptoms are tiredness, bloat and weakness. So if those symptoms sound familiar, and your getting a lot of sleep and relax time, I advise you to talk to your GP. Hopefully all will go well for my next blood test, I don't like all this blood their taking, I have a rare blood type.

Other news, Libby sends her apologies, she won't be able to blog for sometime because tomorrow is the day she is moving to bonnie Scotland! Their having a farewell party soon, because their flight leaves so early tomorrow morning: 4am! Aargh.

Take care everyone. xo
