My Last Blog of 2006

Sorry to be a little dramatic in the title! :D

Well it's only 5 hours or so until 2007 here in Australia, and I'm getting very excited. But it also made me think of the year we have had. In entertainment and real life.

For example, I think the most shocking event of the year would have had to have been Steve Irwin's death. Totally gobsmacked. It was really sad.

I'm a bit rushed at the moment, as I need to be heading out to my brother's party, but next year (ooh I said it!) I will do my annual awards in TV shows and life etc.

So I just want to take this time to wish you all a very Happy New Year. Don't get drunk, please be safe on the roads, and bring in 2007 with a bang (not literally though!).

That time to help me again!

Right, you guys helped me so much with the invitations etc. So I decided to let you help me choose something quite important on the big day. The wedding cake. Remember, we're allocating styles not exact down to the detail here!

Option A.

Option B.

Option C:

I'm leaning towards option B. It'll be bigger than that one though!

I managed to select a theme: flowers. It's very suitable since we are having a garden wedding surrounded by a lot of flowers.

PS. Fiance has a job now. To stay out of the way. :D Nah, he's looking for a photographer and transport.

That's all!

A BIG Christmas Lunch, 2 ER DVDS & Pearls!!

Well, Christmas is now over. Today's Boxing Day, I have no plans anymore, and I guess I'll be coming back to the computer every 5 minutes, so I'll probably be here all day! :D

My Christmas was lovely. I went to my mother's and we had a really BIG Christmas lunch. Everyone was there. Mum, dad, Libby, her hubby and Claire, me and fiance, my brother and his girlfriend, and our auntie and uncle. We all had to bring a plate of food to contribute towards the lunch. I made a lasagne, and it was a hit! I can actually cook! :)

And for presents, I got 2 ER DVD's! Hehe! That made me happy! Seasons 1 and 4 on DVD! That means my total collection of ER DVD's is now Seasons 1, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11 and 12. Seasons 10, 11 and 12 are burnt DVD's so their not exactly the real deal. But my favourite present was a beautiful pearl necklace from fiance, it was so gorgeous!

Tomorrow, fiance and I are going out for the day. We might be going to the beach, who knows? But I can't wait!

That's all from me! Hope everyone has a lovely day!

I think Santa lost one of his Reindeers!

Here's a cute, cute, cute photo of Molly, I just took about 10 minutes ago. She's wearing her reindeer ears!  (sorry if it's a little blurry, I had to resize it).

Well folks, tomorrow is Christmas Day. I can hardly believe it, and can hardly wait either. I don't think I will be coming on tv.com tomorrow, I will have to much to do, which is a shame.

So I feel I should take this time to wish you all a very Happy Christmas, and hope you have a fun filled day with your family and friends, or whatever your doing!

I also want to especially wish Mary a Merry Christmas and hope she gets better soon! :)

In tv.com news, I'm now a level 17, I think I was only a level 16 for a few hours! And I am now the editor of Grace Kelly, and ER actor, Scott Grimes.

I require your help!

I'm including you all in my wedding planning. I've tried going over this with my family and friends and all fiance says is "their all fine", but so far no one has really helped. So I ask for your help! Help me choose an invitation format for my wedding, so I can get some sort of idea of what I'm going for. I love them both but can't decide.

a) Romance

Place Card:

b) Silver Lining:

Place Card:

I'm leaning towards option (a), but I would love to know what everyone thinks!

Ho Ho Ho! 3 days until Christmas!

That's right, 3 days until the chaos is all over! I can't wait! You should see my Christmas tree, it's absolutely stunning, and the presents underneath it make it so much better :D. At nights when I put the lights on, my dog goes and sleeps under the tree. It's adorable! I've been meaning to get a photo sometime and show you all.

Today I got another Christmas card. This one from my "posh" auntie and uncle who live in England. What was on the card? Oh God... a BIG picture of the Queen! What a card!

On Christmas Eve, me and fiance are going to go to Midnight Mass at the local church. We've never done it before, but my mum and dad have been going for years, so this year we're going with them. It seems like a very special tradition.

Last night, fiance came over with some rented DVD's. There was "United 93", "You, Me and Dupree" and "The Poseidon". We watched "United 93", at the end I was speechless. The film was about the plane on 9/11 that missed it's target because the passengers did something to stop the terrorists. I never realised how much those passengers did until I actually saw the film. They knew they were going to die, but decided to save the people on the ground. It was really moving and emotional, especially the scenes where the passengers are making goodbye phone calls to their families and loved ones. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

In other TV.COM news, I moved up a level. I'm now a level 16: Church Lady! Hehe!

And I got a new emblem: Cosmic Contributor - This user has made at least 500 contributions.

And... I have 2 new editorships: Susan Hampshire, and Stella McCartney. Next time I log onto TV.COM I should have another editorship. This one for Grace Kelly. But of course I need to wait 24 hours for the submission points until I officially become editor! But the moderators are really quick today, 2 minutes after I submitted each submission they all had been moderated! Thanks to the moderator who moderated them! :D

Results and a Happy Dance around the Christmas Tree!

Good evening all,

Yesterday afternoon I heard the postman come and went out to greet him, and got my mail. There were a couple of Christmas cards, a bill , and a letter from the university I attended. Yep, these were my results back from the exam I did a month or so ago! They had to get them back quickly so we could get jobs at the new year. And... eureka! I passed! :):) *Doing the happy dance*.

Now, a few weeks back I put a letter of interest into the local hospital to say if I passed I would be very interested in getting a job as a social worker there. I put my resume` in and had an interview. They called back and said if I passed the job was definitely mine! So I called them this morning, faxed my exam results and told them I passed by a long shot and they said to come in after Christmas and get a time roster, and as of now I am a social worker at the hospital. I don't start until mid-January, but I can't wait to get started! :D

I got sent a job description, and it said that I would get involved in cases such as domestic voilence, abused children, helping families with crucial decisions involving such factors like life support, consolling families of dead loved ones, victims of voilent attacks (ie. racism, rape) and so on...

New topic, I did my Christmas shopping today and wrapped all the presents and they are now under the tree. Thank God thats out of the way!

Today our weather was so hot, we had hardly any wind breeze, and when we did it was a hot breeze, not very pleasant I might add , so I decided I'm getting air conditioning when I start my job and am able to afford it.

Well that's all for now!

Countdown to Christmas: 9 days

Here comes Santa Claus... and he's Drunk!

I found this funny picture and a story about when I was a kid about Santa (Libby, will know about this :D).

When I was about 8 years old, my whole family went to Christmas party for my mum's workplace at this park. There were a lot of kids there and Santa was expected to come for the kids. My sister (Libby) and brother were a lot older than me and were 14 and 13, so they were pass the Santa stage. Anyway, went Santa arrived all the kids, including me, ran over to Santa and handed him our lists of what we want for Christmas and were making a fuss of him. Next thing I heard was "Oh dear" coming from my mother, and I turned around and Santa was stumbling all over the place, so mum just took my hand and moved away. I never gave Santa my list or sat on his lap. Apparently, when one child was on Santa's lap and was telling him what she wanted for Christmas, Santa fell asleep! I remember thinking "what a weird mood Santa is in", but now I look back on it as an adult, he was drunk!

Libby has asked me to tell her friends here that she won't be back until a couple of days, she experienced early contractions and was in hospital overnight (it was a false alarm), and now is taking it very easy, she'll be back soon, but is trying to catch up on her sleep before the baby arrives.

Here Comes the Bride...

Last night my fiance came over. We had a long discussion about the wedding plans, and have decided on a month! Now we're getting somewhere. October next year will be the wedding. We get lovely weather around that time of year, and it just seems to suit us perfectly. Today we are going to reserve the gardens we want to have it at, and hopefully they can give us a date. Any date in October is suitable for us. Except the 3rd (my birthday!).

Then the conversation moved onto the honeymoon, and we decided we want to go to Malaysia. Fiance says he has been to a place called Langkawi in Malaysia and it is perfect for honeymooners. So I'm currently searching the web looking up hotels and tourist attractions, and it does indeed look heavenly. I think I'm looking forward to the honeymoon more than the wedding ceremony! Is that bad?

I should hire a wedding planner because planning a wedding is hard work! I still have so much to organise. Rings, cake, transport, reception (and everything that comes with it), dress, hair stylists, make up and so much more! I can already feel my hair falling out!

Countdown to Christmas: 12 days (I think)
