Goodbye Friday Night! (And More Wedding Plans)

On Friday night my niece is sleeping over, cause my sis is going out for a night on the town with her hubby. It's their annivarsary, and she was stuck for someone to look after her 4 year old daughter, so I volunteered. I was gonna go out Friday night with my fiance but I thought if it helps my sis out then surely I can miss ONE night with him. So my point: I've babysitted my niece before, but never had her over for the whole night. Any of you mums (or moms if your an American) have any ideas on how to keep her entertained all night?

Update on the wedding plans: Well, we haven't made any of those necessary details yet (exact date, exact location etc.) but we have discussed what we want. We also discussed budget (eek!) and the wedding party. I'm going to have my sister and my best friend as my two bridemaids, and my niece (read first paragraphy) will be flowergirl.  I don't really want a big bridal party. And honeymoon we are thinking somewhere tropical like Bali or Thailand (again, but I'm not complaining!) :) Oh yeah, and it's a garden or beach wedding and I've already told you it's a Summer wedding. I also plan on involving my beloved dog in the ceremony...somehow. Wow, what a lot of details and that's not even half of them!

Would you like some Perfume Darling?

Kylie Minogue has launched her own perfume which she called "Darling". It's already on sale in Australia, so I expect it will or already is available in other countries soon.

I'm gonna buy this perfume. I need a new perfume anyway, I'm slowly running out of Elizabeth Arden. If I really like it, I'll wear it on my wedding day!

Wedding Plans & A New TV.COM Bug

Well last night my fiance and I sat down and seriously discussed/brainstormed wedding plans. I promised myself I wouldn't worry about wedding plans until my uni exams were over, but I just couldn't help myself!  Fiance has been very supportive and promised to hold off on the serious plans until I was ready to start them. Thats why I love him! :) With dates, we're thinking late next year, so it will be a Summer wedding. With me starting a full time job as a social worker next year, it's gonna be a busy year for me! But we want to plan our own wedding, otherwise it will end up being a society event if it got into the hands of my family or my future in-laws, and thats not what we want at all. Maybe we should do it in one day like Neela and Gallant did on ER! hehe just kidding! :)

Oh yeah and theres a new bug on TV.COM. He messes with your number of forum posts. It happened to me, and said I had 118 forum posts, when really I have over 750! Thankfully he only lasts about 5-10 minutes. Any of you guys been affected by Mr Bug yet?

New Signature

I have a new signature as most of you have probably seen by now.

I had a banner maker make it for me. Ain't it great? Anyway, if anyone is good at resizing images let me know, because I think my banner is a bit fuzzy as I had to resize it to fit for my signature.

Hussein's Sentence

Today Saddam Hussein was sentenced to death for crimes against humanity. Personally, I don't agree with the sentence, a man like that deserves to pay for his crimes the REAL way, and be sentenced for life. But there again, why should a man like that deserve to live after all the people he killed?

Anyway, Hussein's lawyers are filing for an appeal, good luck. The verdict is hardly likely to change.

The Best ER Episodes

Season 13 of ER is producing some of the best episodes of ER I have ever seen. I just finished watching Heart Of The Matter, and I loved it. I can confidently say that it was the best episode so far in this season. It got me thinking about my favourite episodes through out the whole 12 years. So here is my top 10 if you are interested:

#10. Freefall (Season 10):

In this episode, a helicopter crashes on the ambulance bay of the ER, causing a major fiasco. Romano is killed after he is squashed by helicopter, and Susan worries for the safety of her ex-husband, Chuck. I always love ER episodes where there is a lot of action. I always think it brings out the talent in the actors more than a boring episode where nothing happens.

#9. Blizzard (Season 1):

When Chicago is hit with a blizzard, the ER experiences one of it's quietest days ever, allowing the stuff to actually have fun, this is until a 40 car pile up brings dozens of patients to the ER, causing pure chaos. One of the earlier episodes of ER, but in my opinion a classic.

#8. Love's Labor Lost (Season 1):

Mark realizes he missed a diagnosis on a pregnant woman when she seizes moments after leaving the ER. Greene, Lewis, Carter, and Chen work together to try to deliver Jodi O'Brien's child and save Jodi's life in a very difficult delivery. Peter grapples with his own demons in the wake of his mother's collapse. (From TV.COM)

#7. The Crossing (Season 7):

A train crash brings Luka and Carter out onto the scene, where Carter performs an amputation guided by Benton via phone. Bishop Stewart dies, but not before he grants Luka absolution. This episode was very moving, as we got to see flashbacks from Luka's past, and see how his family was killed. I cried buckets when the Bishop died.

#6. Rescue Me (Season 7):

In this episode, Mark discovers he has a brain tumour, and Abby's mother decides to stay in Chicago against Abby's wishes. An explosion nearly kills Abby, but Carter saves her life, and Corday discovers she is pregnant after also finding out she is being sued for Malpractice.

#5. 21 Guns (Season 12):

Sam's ex-husband Steve is brought into the ER after he is involved in a fight at the prison. He plans to escape, having several alliances at the hospital and prison. Luka becomes suspicious and is injected with "Veck" when he tries to stop them, Sam inturbates him but is forced to leave him as she must help the escape go to plan. On his way out Steve and the fake security guard start shooting, and Jerry is shot. A pregnant Abby collapses in a pool of blood, and all Luka can do is watch.

#4. Secrets And Lies (Season 8 ) :

Susan, Abby, Luka, Carter and Gallant are forced to go to an all day sexual harrassment seminar after going through a patients very private belongings. There they learn a lot about each other, including how they lost their virginity and who can do Hamlet better: Luka or Carter.

#3. Great Expectations (Season 6):

Carol goes into labour on the El train, and Luka helps her back to the ER. She delivers baby Tess in the ER, and when complications arrive, she is forced to have a C-Section to deliver baby Kate. Marvellous episode as Carol gives birth to her twin girls. This was also Abby's first episode, where we see her working as an OB nurse.

#2. On The Beach (Season 8 ):

Mark spends his remaining days in Hawaii with Rachel where he teaches her how to surf. Corday arrives with Ella, and after Mark has a seizure she wants to take him home. He refuses, and dies the next morning. The staff of the ER attends the very emotional funeral.

#1. Be Still My Heart (Season 6):

It's Valentines Day, Romano brings his dog in for surgery, Abby faces reality in the ER after one of her patients dies, and Luka and Carol tell two children that their parents have died. Lucy treats a young law student who may have schizophrenia. Carter keeps ignoring her, and at the end of the day finds Lucy has been stabbed by him, after being stabbed himself.

There you have it! I may do my favourite Will and Grace, or Greys Anatomy episodes next.

...And Then He Got On One Knee!

Last night me and my boyfriend went out to dinner for the first time in God knows how long. We went to this fancy Italian restaurant. It was formal, so I was wearing my gorgeous new heels (very Sex and the city they were!). Dinner was pleasant, we both had pasta and wine. When dinner was over, we walked around the town for a while, and took a taxi home.

When we got back to my place, my heels were absolutely killing my feet so I went and got changed into my pyjamas. I came back out to the living room and at this point he was acting very strangely. Since it was such a nice night, we sat outside on the patio, and talked for a while, and before I knew it, he was on one knee saying those magical words I had so longed to hear for 3 years! "Will you marry me?" Ahhhh!!!! :):). Then he pulled out THE BOX. I was over the moon and kept saying yes until that ring was on my finger.

Looking back on it, I can't believe it!! I'm engaged! YES!!!!  *Happy dance* :):):):):) I feel like the happiest girl in the world!

All that's left is to tell my parents...

Graduation Day (No Not ER...Me!)

I graduate from uni in just over a month! Hooray! After that I will become a qualified social worker. I've been asked what area I want to go to, as there are many types of social work. I can work in a hospital, prison, finding homes for children, school and so much more! I'm kind of leaning towards finding foster homes for children.

Little Britain...Computer Says No!

Heavely days people! Little Britain is coming to Australia on tour, and I am going! Tickets go on sale Monday, and I'm gonna ensure I get one! That is something I would NEVER miss! I can't wait till I see my fav characters: Vicky Pollard, Bubbles and Desiree, and Daffyd the only gay in the village, and of course Andy and Lou, and Sebastion! I love them all! :) hahaha.
