If you're feeling gutsy you can also crack the deck open and pop a bigger NVMe drive in there. Just make sure you look up a tutorial so you know exactly what you're doing.
@rohanrocks88: I respectfully disagree with regard to modern stories being forgettable. Many incredible stories (some I would consider amongst the best game stories ever written) have been penned in the last 10 years, and many stories that seemed incredibly deep and engaging at the time of Ps2/Xbox era are surprisingly thin by modern standards. Every "generation" of gaming has amazing stories.
Not being antagonistic or anything, I'm just saying that there are loads of wonderfully-written stories out there. Just check any thread about good game stories, or turn on store tags for "story rich" "good story" etc.
@mogan: Exactly! It's (most) of the essential aesthetics of the OGs, with a depth of character and narrative that they never came close to. I think 3 did a decent enough job of hinting at a deeper motivation for Kratos beyond angy mc'smash'n'kill, but Dad of Boy landed on something special.
I knew I was in for something special when the first thing new Kratos did was put his hand on a tree and look sad and solemn.
I respect the simplicity of the earlier games (hate the gameplay of 1 and 2, though. Had an awful time with them), but I'm 100% on board with the new games' take on Kratos.
It's great, but I kinda wish the visual fidelity were lower, so it'd run just a bit better. There are times where the low frame rate, coupled with the intense motion blur, make my head hurt. Also, the text is quite tiny in handheld mode.
This was a really funny video! It's almost always interesting/fun for aficionados to weigh in on media depictions of stuff. Armor experts commenting on game/movie armor is always a treat.
Good on them. I'm not a fan of this fomo crap in any game, but I especially think it has no place in these games that thrive due to their quality co-op modes.
