Thanks everyone.

I was on the playstation boards and someone said that the PS3's don't play BD in 720p and that hopefully a fix will come out soon.

I guess I have to watch movies in 1080i (no, my TV doesn't support 1080p) until that's fixed.

The only thing is, I swear that when I first got my PS3 I was watching movies in 720p and that it wasn't until updating to v1.54 that this problem started.

Ah well, I guess I just have to live with 1080i for now.

Your not watching Bluray movies in 1080i,  your PS3 outputs it at 1080i, but yout TV scales it to 720p.  What your seeing is 720p

that TV looks good..but why spend that much money on a 70inch HDTV? when you could just buy & projector with hdtv compatibility for 3 times the loweat price. that's one of the reasons i bough a screenplay5000 720p.

If the HDTV cost 3 times more than a projector it's because the HDTV has wayyy better picture quality.

Projectors are great when they cost alot of money...

you dont need an iphone
just get an ipod and a phone, its the same basic thing and they are both very portable
xboxshenron

I'd rather carry around one device that does 2 things instead of carrying 2 devices that do 1 thing.

I still cant understand why M$ is sticking to that excuse of design...They have improved everything from Xbox1 but still they insist on that roundy cluncky Dpad...
And the obvious question arises: Can the PS3 or even PS2 controller be used with Xbox360? If yes then a very strong disadvantage of the 360 is can just be remedied...
True_Gamer_

So having to push the D-Pad to the left and to the bottom at the same time is better then simply pushing the bottom left area of the DPAD?

No sorry...
