"Nintendo, who has been playing catch-up since the Wii train derailed years ago, isn't allowed to buck tradition without meeting resistance. It's an unfair accusation, and one that Nintendo will be branded with until it delivers on the promises it has yet to fulfil." - Why is it an unfair accusation? Isn't it a *fair accusation until they deliver on promises they have yet to fulfil?
You know e3 can be strange and overblown, like when usher adorned the stage last year and did a number. I personally just found that hilariously entertaining. But I like being able to tune in to each of the 3 big players' conferences, and see all the big news from them all in one place, live, with people around the world. Its become tradition for some friends and I to stay up late (Australia) and watch it unfold together, whether we're seeing some genuinely great games being teased, demo-ed, or announced, or laughing at an awkward presenter or segment. I think its awesome and always a little exciting. I LIKE the event of the big conferences! I would miss it
@klaisn @macca366 I read the article. I think if there was a slew of great games worth showing off, Nintendo wouldn't hesitate to parade them around with a big press conference, especially with the lack of interest in WiiU and its tanking trajectory.
Relegating to smaller side conferences and behind-closed-doors demonstrations tells me they have nothing great to show, and if they do, they'll likely be demos for things not coming out this year
I was thinking of that restriction in regard to the article mentioning it 'blending single-play and multiplayer'. Neglected to add, 'If it turns out to be an MMO...' to the next sentence
Ughhhh... Just as long as it isn't 'always online'. I cannot see myself buying a Fable MMO - or any MMO for that matter, though I am interested in Destiny. I'm not into this 'connectedness' movement. The last time I used an online feature was a Halo 4 match 4 months ago.
I played Metroid: Zero Mission this week. It was the best game I've played all year, Bioshock Infinite a close second. And it was a completely solitary experience.
The dreamcast game scared me a little when I was younger, not properly, but it could feel a little creepy sometimes exploring the ocean, not knowing what lays ahead
