I have no desire to use kinect. I have my 360 set up to plug into my PC monitor so I play it on a desk like playing PC games with a controller. A part from having no interest in the move controls (I have tried kinect, by the way), it isn't really workable in a space like my room, its more of a living room thing to be properly calibrated. All I hope is that the inclusion of kinect with every console doesn't drive up the price a super amount.
My main contention about new consoles? The games! I'll just be hanging back, waiting for the games and exclusives, and when I do pick up a new console, my choice will be based on that
True horror games will undoubtedly take you more than 2 days to finish because they're so damn scary (and often difficult) that you turn it off. Its a slow, intense, brilliant challenge. And then you replay them on the hardest difficulty until you master it.
@kiramasaki Gears and Halo have good multiplayer for great replay value. Dead Space does not. Well, DS2 had multiplayer, but it sucked (imo and most others).
Knew it. I could tell this was going to be mediocre-ville when I saw the gameplay demos. No suspense in an Aliens game? really?
This may sound weird, but when it starts up and you exit the cryo pod in Halo 4, walking through the ship briefly I thought "These are the guys that should make an Aliens game". Of course Halo took some influence from Aliens, the future marine culture and chatter, motion tracker.. Anyway, I would still buy this further on in the cheap. I do like Aliens, I might be able to use my imagination!
I don't think most of the people hating on it have actually bought or played the game, you also get the sense that the comments are from 12 year olds. Anyway.. To me it just continued the trajectory of Dead Space 2. Johnny hit it on the head for me, the necromorphs can't stay scary forever, I know their tricks, what to expect. And it doesn't bother me, I love the series. I just hope the story arc doesn't end horribly once I finish it
