Bringin' back those golden oldies.

I remember all the denial after Shippy, the chief architect of the Cell CPU said the systems were equal in power. Those were good days. I used to always say, "So, you know more than the guy who created what you're bragging about?":P

I found Company of Heroes series a lot more enjoyable after watching Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan and The Pacific.

Fall out New Vegas is a lot more fun after watching Book of Eli, Children of Men, and the road

Left 4 Dead 2 is so much better after watching 28 days later, 28 weeks later and zombie land

Mount & blade Warband is fun after watching the Lord of the Ring movies

You guys got any more ideas?

If you find that you can't attack and sometimes can't move except for rolling, try pushing the block button. I don't know if the most recent patch has fixed that or not. Seems to happen when you have the sword drawn and a cut scene triggers.

And I'm pretty sure the game has a memory leak. Seems that the longer I played the more often the game would crash. Again, don't know if they fixed that with 1.3. Would play fine for the first 2-3 hours, then would often crash out of nowhere.

I had the freeze a couple o times as well, when using gadgets.

The solution, seemed to be, not using gadgets while running, then I had no problems.

And yes the combat is dumbed down in witcher 2, but it's not nearly as simplistic as fable (allthou you can handle pretty much everything with right click's and the shield buff, in the patched witcher 3-1)

Walincas

no such thing as dumbed down in the game. Dumbed down from what? The original's highly flawed combat system based on click timing? This is just an elistist comment. Learn how to play the game, or better yet don't state your opiinion as fact.

Al ot more people skipped the original game because of the combat.

[QUOTE="CaseyWegner"]

[QUOTE="MuayThaiFTW"]A vast majority of the 360's exclusives(or what little exclusives they do have;) )are SEVERLY OVER rated. Halo has been the same game since 2005 And Gears is one of the most over rated series to ever grace gaming. Gears is straight up garbage In this gen the PS3 BY FAR has had the superior exclusives. It's not even a contest. The only 360 "exclusives" that i ever enjoyed ...mass effect and Bioshock....are now on the PS3. Hell, Uncharted 2 alone beats any gaming experience that ive ever had on the 360MuayThaiFTW

bioshock exclusive? :|

Your right. Bioshock was on the PC....from what i remember?... My bad lol

alt account anyone?

I don't know, I liked the game throughout - especially the Vizima chapters.

The Witcher 2 was a slight disappointment. The technical things were improved (graphics, combat, customization, crafting), even the writing and the voice acting. However, somewhere along the way, The Witcher 2 lost a part of its soul. Apart from Flotsam, the locations were drab and boring, the characters insipid, the atmosphere ruined by the "sunny" lighting engine. The Witcher 2 seems to be devoid of the distinctly Central European personality in regards to storytelling, characters and locations. It's all a lot more generic fantasy now possibly in an effort to appeal more to American audiences. The choices--while still morally ambiguous--seem to have a lot less impact and meaning, they come off as less personal and focus more on the grand scheme of things. It's also a LOT shorter than the original.

UpInFlames

personally, the witcher 2 seemed more like the books than the first game, and that's why I prefer the sequel. Again, as much as I like the original, it had big flaws. The first gmae was great, but let's not give too much undeserved claims or credit.

it's funny how some people here believe the witcher 1 was some perfect game, or as some poster put it, "a perfect rpg". No, just no.

I loved that game, I bought it when it was first released and also after the enhanced version came out, and as much as I love that game, I am also willing to admit and point out its flaws.

1: too much fedex running about

2- while the combat was fun and interesting, it was also heavily flawed and the old aurora engine was partly to blame for that.

There are still many more issues with the game worth pointing out, but still, enough with nolstagia factor here. It's was a fantastic game, but it had way too many issues as a game.

Witcher 2--step in the right direction.

[QUOTE="nameless12345"]

Ironically I'm mainly a PC gamer myself. So just because I dare speak out my opinions makes me "anti-PC" or even "PC hater"? Great logic.

jedikevin2

My summation is base enitrely on your anti Pc threads you've made in the last year. When a member makes up to several threads critisizing a platform and stating another is better.. its simple to deduce he is either Anti X, a hater, or a fanboy.

How about we put some perspective on your X better the Y threads, anti Pc making threads, rant threads etc....

  • Many Pc games are horribly bugged
  • Pc gaming not viable?
  • PC vs Consoles
  • Pc games to Complex?
  • consoles always innovating (PC isn't...)
  • Consoles are Industry leaders (Pc gaming not relevant)
  • Is the Pc a Gaming system?

There is a stark contrast then just opinions to intentially making threads stating Pc is inferior. Infact, in your last year, I do not recall once where you spoke of something in the good of Pc. It has always been some console>pc. This is all fine but for to you now say "i am mainly a pc gamer" does not beter yourself at all from how you've presented yourself in this forum.. Let us not forget all the statements in threads that ahve been disproven time and time again on statements about pc gaming.

PWNED. AND +2 rep to jedi kevin
