Since I am that old, i can tell you the first played piece was with my Neanderthal friends. Old Bonk had clubbed grunt on his big toe, and Grunt hollered rythmically as he jumped around in pain-first dance, too incidentally. I remember we all clapped as well. :P

Why the drama anyway? He dosen't want to swim or take his shirt off. You are his friend. Respect his preferences without making excuses (for yourself, incidentally) about those choices. High School time sucks because of dramas like this. Nobody will actively change that as long as no one takes the lead somewhere, you know?

Dosen't matter so much how it all came into being. We only live 75~ years on it. More important is what we do, destructive or life-giving while we live on it as a group. Maybe it was honestly a natural freak accident altogether. You might consider that mankind is a freak to Nature. she keeps forgetting the evil Mordred she created is loose. A freak she inadvertently built so well it could prove to be her own undoing. Pollution and nuclear warfare come to mind. Humans are destructive bastards. But we also made life giving medicines, saved some endangered animals, and produced benevolent wise humans, who created life-giving philosophies for all our species.

Metric system was taught in the USA in the 1970's. Before many here were born. But the metric system is available to USA now.

USA is not strange to the idea of metric system. Those who wish to use it, can do so. It is now a matter of personal choice inside our own nation, just like deciding if "Yanks" is offending to us. Not a major issue for truly busy people anyway.

Other nations may be inconvienienced by the Imperial / Metric duality, but if they want to shop/deal with USA, they'll have to realize that. When I visited Quebec Canada, I took the time to learn some french. I didn't have to do that, I was being courteous. No big deal, since I was the one visiting them.

Troll arguments in GameSpot forums-particularly in Off Topic- are getting more sophisticated.All so some person can offend another.

Regular humans posting in GameSpot Off-Topic run the risk of looking both malicious and ignorant as a result. It's almost like the legendary hate supposedly found in the System Wars Forum.

GameSpot needs to create a "Troll Argument only Forum" to give the baiters and haters somewhere else to vent. They could hold 'most convaluted arguement contests' and offer another emblem to victors.

Humans need to stop being angrily stupid to each other as a general rule. My honest answer to a sincere question-If this yank (dosen't offend me) deals with another nation's measurement, I'll try to learn their measure system, but to demand global aquiesence about such a simple issue is never my issue.

This is probably the biggest question that USA citizens are asking now (other than what laptop should I buy).

Socializing medicine would be a good thing (maybe) but that involves pretty high taxing. "it only works until everyone else runs out of money"is the argument against it. We understand taxing, but hate having them grow each paycheck. We are a government of taxpayers that are allowed to say where our money goes. And if only our government is calling the shots on where the money goes-well- we often mistrust that kind of thing.

To not socialize medicine is where we are now-no change yet. This is where it gets dicey-what are we supposed to do then?

My idea is to have some kind of price fixing on the medical bills, but the medical people don't want any of that.

Well, here's the thing; Whoever got to the Atom Bomb technology first-pick ANY human nation- it would be a military and therefore, political blunder for them to NOT keep an eye on (spy,object to) any nation that started their own nuclear weapons program. Anybody who plays a wargame here knows this. And as a species, humans have proven over eons that they are military minded. The USA used the nasty thing first, for whatever reasons-to say more is troll argument- so that nation is a little busy watching whoever else has them.

If North Korea had been extremely military involved against their enemies in WW2, very likely THEY'D be the ones doing the same thing on the rest of the globe now- having gotten and used the technology first. Same for Hitler's Germany, or Yamamoto's Japan, Mussolini's Italy, etc. Anybody who'd gotten the thing first would incurr some kind of responsibility OR blame, depending on who is voicing the words.

I think it is wrong that any human nation should push around any other nation. And i am an American. But no human nation today can completely trust any other human nation.So this whole point is kind of moot. A troll's argument.

All of our hateful international posts on these forums show what species we are.Sounds like a whole lot of folks here would love to drop one on the USA if they could. With all your spite against USA, you think we're just supposed to drop our guard, when such stuff is shouted against us?

BTW- I don't recall the USA ever using one of these horrible weapons to kill any of you since Japan. That 64 years has been a constant bloodstained yoke against our nation, and haters just keep rubbing it in. Pretty good record- half a century+ of no nuking people who hate us.

I've had to work in many fast food joints, and now I'm not so hungry for it. I still go once in awhile, but the $$$ spent adds up. Hate Fast Food all you want, but as long as somebody dosen't want to be bothered making their own meals, it's going to be around. Probably a lllooooonnnngg time, too. Just be a little nicer to the people who are spending their time making it for you.
