I am in the TAPS Union. (The Atlanta Paranormal Society) We have some, butI won't ask anybody to look since it is not cool to be seen there. (MIA union).
I can see the marketing behind this idea, but I've actually had real romance in my life. To have it on a video game (after having lived it already), seems kind of foolish to me, and sort of cheap in comparison.
Besides, the romantic storyline wouldn't do much for me when I just want to play a game.
The games industry used to be extremely 'biased' (not meant in bad way) toward male consumers. At one point the only real Female lead you had was Lara Croft. Has this changed much? If not, do male gamers actually like the added female choices in games with gender selection?
Third page for this post-but haven't seen this idea yet; Games were originally a Male-Oriented market. (like 85% male). SSOO-if this has changed, how many more female characters have been created in games now? I.E. used to be Lara Croft was the only girl ever really considered for a character model in a game. Will we ever see less-than-pretty females as main characters (without being some villian)?
