@WingChopMasta Don't trade in a game for cash during a publishers sale. Or better yet, if you need a smoke that badly, don't invest in games.

PS From what I remember FC3 was trading in for $40 in-store at that time.

If you're going to spend that kind of money, why don't you just buy a desktop? Hell, even the laptop I'm using cost only $450, runs just about everything out there, and does quite a bit more than this would.

You think that's bad, wait and see how much Sony dips when they announce they're actually doing this. But it won't just be them, everyone's shares dive, because this is a stupid idea that is only detrimental.

@liuyang61 @DrKill09 In markets competition drives prices. More competition, lower price. Less competition, higher price.

But I can make it easier than that. Go to xbox.com, look at the prices of their Download games. Notice that the games taht generate more profit to the devs, and can't even be traded in or sold are the same price as their physical brothers, some are actually more.

@Gr3gSolidus @vault-boy @FSgamer hahahaha, read what you write. You in fact didn't ask me to support me argument. It's just above this, not hard to miss.

And if you want me to support my argument, I suggest you get more specific in yours. After all, it's what I responded to, and the statement (ie what you originally state) requires the first burden of proof.

@Gr3gSolidus @Veziron Not really, they're very different things. And at the heart of what you asked me. Did you forget it?

@Gr3gSolidus @vault-boy @FSgamer "That's an important metric to just gloss over."

- I'm not writing an essay, guy. I'm responding to you plainly. You say games are unsustainable. I correct you by saying they're profitable. If you wanted people to tell you how much, then in your statement you need to be more specific.

You're reading way into things that are pretty darn simple. Rhetoric does not mean shadowy conspiracy.

I feel like I'm talking to a coked up 11 year old boy.

@Paulf001 PC games have pirates. They actually drove the cost of PC gaming down.

@Gr3gSolidus @Veziron Hahaha, funny thing is you say this in response to me talking about the different ways money is used. Thus essentially saying all money isn't like all money. You'd have been much better off not saying anything.

@Gr3gSolidus @vault-boy @FSgamer Seriously, do you have problems reading? I didn't say anything about how profitable a game is. I just said to quote, "Almost every single game is profitable." It's a pretty simple statement.

As for why this is happening, it's rhetoric. Complain about something, even if it isn't actually bad, to justify something else.
