Being hailed in 1981, this is totally up my ally. 80s KILL!!! I love the whole Terminator/Universal Soldier/I Come in Peace vibe of the cover art, i WISH this was available on hard disc also!
I played through it once and probably won't be in a rush to do it again. Vergil is not as fun to use as Dante, he has less weapons and even though it's more challenging, the whole thing feels like exactly what it is - an afterthought piece of DLC content. Obviously not as much work went into it, and it shows. But that's ok, it doesn't deserve a 9. I'd say or the DmC fan this should keep the replay value up for a couple more days
Honestly a cover with her holding a gun would look kinda silly, I love the cover art the way they have it now, I say they keep it that way. As long as they aren't censoring stuff in the actual game, the cover not having a gun is no big deal. They are right, a gun-toting cover may sway certain buyers
I hope on top of the solid graphics there is realistic gameplay, unlike MGS4 where it didn't REALLY matter if I snuck or ran past certain areas, because as soon as I'd hit the "exit" and loading screen, I could go into the next section completely unharmed, even though technically I am still in the same landscape (as if enemies couldn't go past the invisible wall).
Well I have this for PS3 and kind of put it aside because it was so cheap and annoying to play. With this patch I'll def boot it up again to see if it improves any more in even a fairly significant way. Considering I paid $99 for the special edition, I really want to get at least SOME of my money's worth.
Def true. But games have been trying to emulate movies for a very long time before modern QTE's. Like, the original Resident Evil was as cinematic as a game tried to get, but since the technology wasn't really there for QTE's, it couldn't realy be done or thought of at the time. Goldeneye 007 for the N64 tried it too, but the technology was holding it back. Also, QTE's are also there to appeal to a more mature audience.
Uh, that's where you're wrong actually. RE1 &2 may not seem like much now, but were incredible and groundbreaking when they were released back in the late 90s. In terms of cinematic storytelling and survival horror the genre would not be as much (if anything) without the influence of these games).
