I usually wait about a year before picking up a new system. Hence, once I'm pretty much done with all the PS3 games I want to play, I'll DEFINITELY be picking up a PS4, hopefully at a good bundle price, maybe on a Black Friday

This game freakin OWNZ. Definitely the best DMC game to date, with DMC3 a close 2nd. I'm loving the new Dante as well, a lot more human and in many ways more likable than the old Dante, only because his character is MUCH more relatable now as a person, and the characterization in the story has gotten a huge boost with ALL of the characters. I'm excited to see where the story progresses in future games.

Removed because of parental complaints? Bleh, bunch of dumbass stuck up old people with nothing else better to do. I can picture the type already. They don't have to let little Johnney or little Mary Sue play the stupid games, but i guess just the thought of having those precious little brats SEE the games may cause them to morph into serial killers with no regard for life in the future. Can we please stop treating our kids like they're mindless idiots?? And then we're surprised when they grow up to be mindless idiots who can't make any decisions of their own.

What do I think about the Jill Sandwich meme? I think you and I should discuss it over dinner ;)

The day you need to curtail video game violence is the day you need to do it with other mediums as well. The problem is, since films, music, and books have been around much longer than video games, our generation of authority only sees them as things made for children, and the medium isn't as respected as others, such as film. Lots of people will probably keep their kids away from action games, but will not see a problem watching an action film with their children, such as James Bond or something. Hence, of course we are going to hear the grunt of all of this as gamers because our medium is primarily the one being attacked, again, due to the generation gap. If video games were around just as long as film, nobody would be putting the blame on it. I think it's safe to say that everyone will disagree with this article in one way or another.

I agree that a 7.5 is a slap in the face. He should've just mentioned that the PS3 had a FEW very minor audio glitches (I'm on the 8th mission on the PS3 version and have yet to notice a graphical glitch of any kind), and keep the PS3 version at the same score. Why give it an entire 1/2 piont less for something that really makes next to zero difference? The importance is in the gameplay. The PS3 version is worth an 8.5 at the least, as well as game in general regardless of platform. Seriously gamespot makes some asinine decisions regarding reviews sometimes.

Why the hell does the PS3 version get 1/2 point lower than the 360 and PC version??? It's the same freakin thing. Getting sick of the 360 bias on this site. I own it for the PS3 and no way that game should get a 7.5. An 8.5 at the very least.

The differences to me are somewhat apparant but overall insignificant.

Lots depends on what you like individually. Things need to evolve in order to stay fresh and sellable. Resident Evil simply couldn't stay in the same style anymore, it would become like Dynasty Warriors, rehash after rehash. RE4 was a breakthrough and while it wasn't AS scary, still had some tense moments, aside from being one of the greatest games of this generation. RE5 did a bit over with the action, RE6 maybe a bit too ambitious for its own good (but kudos for the ambition). Survival horror can still survive but would have to be done differently altogether. More mature, more realistic; no more 80s style schlocky B-movieness. Hardcore gamers are beyond that. Perhaps no more zombies or undead. Maybe with the upcoming "The Last of Us," for PS3, a new wave of survival (horror or not) can be born.

While we're at it, why not raise the price of movie tickets and blu rays of all movies with sexual or violent content, and the money can go to mental health issues people get specifically from exposure to R and PG-13 rated movies. Then we can do a book tax on any book with violent or sexual content, and the money can go to mental health issues associated with people who are exposed to books with violent or sexual content. Yea, all 3 of them.
