@greaseman1985: It's been installed that many times because it's called a f**king monopoly.
And also, if you seriously don't understand that you can have 2 OS's on your PC and happily switch between both, then you have absolutely no right to be commenting at all.
@TruthSerum808: What on earth are you people talking about? It wasn't a confusing movie in the slightest. As long as you weren't just watching the explosions like some kind of dazed child, then it really wasn't that difficult to follow any of it.
It was still horribly written, paced and directed, however.
@bluebird08: Why?? I'm all for a similar-sized map, but with stories that actually take you out and use it this time. In GTAV, if you didn't (like me) go on to play GTA Online, then you never went to the top of the map. Just not necessary.
I can see where the problems come from in moving it outside the US. For example, the UK/London (again) would be interesting but so difficult to model. How would you model the UK police when 75% of them don't use guns? For that simple reason, it would be difficult.
In terms of the rest of Europe, which cities are big enough but also varied enough (ie - with all the different areas you expect in a GTA game) to make it a fun game? The US is perfect in that you have the pure division of society right in front of you, wherever you go. You'd have to really exaggerate European countries in a ridiculous way to get the same ambiance.
And for other parts of the world (South America, Asia, etc..) it may sound stupid, but remember this is a British/American game, I'm completely sure that influences them to keep it in an English-speaking market. Non-natives will buy GTA anyway, but would as many native speakers buy a game that is primarily in subtitles or focused on another culture? It's all about marketing/profits, after all.....
Point is: choosing the next location for a GTA game is anything but simple....
Sadly I was one of the fools who went in hoping the critics were being, well, critics... sadly not, and it's another huge, misjudged/misguided disappointment from Zack Snyder. So many things about the movie are just 'off'. It never seems to know where it's going or why it's going there. To me, it all just seemed extremely heartless, soulless and joyless... and after that, what else is there? Nothing new in the story, with the traditional, same-old set-ups for future films. Not to mention how awful the pacing and editing was, some of the sequences (dreams in particular) simply didn't make sense or fit in context/timing. One thing is people keep talking about how the film 'more accurately portrays' and focuses on the violence/destruction and its impacts... except, it doesn't. After it's made its (very tenuous) point, it simply glosses over the destruction just like every other superhero movie. As long as Snyder has had his 5 minutes on the high horse.
@silversix_: That's funny... every single time I go on the games are absolutely full and everyone is having fun... Huh. 'Dead games' are doing awfully well these days.
@PS2fweak: It's incredible. Every time I read something on here which I find trashy or just plain irritating (which is increasingly often), I scroll up to find, lo and behold, Eddie Makuch's name. Every single time.
And yeah, let's not call this an 'article'. If a proper piece of journalism is called an 'article' then these copy and paste infomercials sure as hell are not 'articles'.
@PS2fweak: No, no, I get it. In this case, it's not a massive problem. But it has been a problem before with similar article both here and on other sites.
The issue for me here is two things: That they didn't wait a little longer to start talking about the season finale. But also, you said that I don't have to click, but the great Makuch alluded to it in the title of the article... So there was no escaping that. I genuinely think this guy is a social experiment being done by GS to see how much of this trash we can take before we just break and accept it. Or has that already happened..? It's probably too late already...
@mezzanine58: And yes, I realise it doesn't "ruin" the series, but it's also massively unhelpful that when I arrive at the final episode I already know what to look for. That is the point.
