@VoidBeyond: Yes, but the games were being sold to people who were most probably already fans of LotR. They need the branding in this case.
I don't find it bizarre at all from a commercial point of view. They've invested a simply mental amount in this series, it's only right that they try to get some of it back.
It's vaguely similar to Game of Thrones not being called A Song of Ice and Fire.
@gns: Fairly sure the millions of kids who watch the show aren't in it for the 'hot women'. And if that is why you watch series then... I don't know, I guess you'll stop being a teenager at some point?
@dmblum1799: The lead is unwatchable. Absolute garbage actor (actress/whatever you want). Extremely limited range of facial expressions and emotions in general. Always in constant flux between utter exasperation at the tiniest thing, or complete delight.
It's hard to put into words how angry her acting made me. Like watching an actor playing a bad actor. But not.
@dragoonmike: *There where ruled* - I don't even know where to begin with that... Also, you utterly uneducated redneck, please do name a country that wasn't ruled under a single sovereign prior to the French revolution.
Also, also - the British Parliament has existed for considerably longer than before your descendants arrived to steal an entire continent. #MakeAmericaNativeAgain
It's a strange show... I didn't laugh that much, compared to the Office anyway. And yet I still sort of liked it, and would probably watch another one.
