@iaingray @mirage_so3 One of my favorite "progressive release" games is Star Craft. It has 5 different expansions including the original and the one still being made. But each expansion is a good game in itself. Each expansion builds on the other and they're not just a missing part that was sold to you later.
@dogandhorse @mirage_so3 I think games like elder scrolls do a good job with DLC. They feed content but it's worthwhile content that was not just cut from the game originally.
@frozenuxx I just don't like the people defending the 10 year plan. Corporations really do not care about more than money. If they can get away with selling us parts of a game they will do it more and more.
@iaingray @mirage_so3 PS2 games never had updates. PC games did but none of the console games did. We got sold the whole product, we weren't sold part of the game and then other parts down the road. I am not the only person who thinks this. Many gamers recognize DLC for what it is. A way to take out parts of the game to sell to you later. This game hardly has any content as far as story or variety but we have a promise of "Don't worry it will get better." I paid 60 dollars for a good game now, not a game where they can keep selling me parts of it for 10 years. The more people buy into this the more often it will happen.
@iaingray Wake up damn it. Before the ps3 we bought video games. They were complete games. We didn't buy games that "would be better later" as they sell us the rest of the game. It's when people defend this s.hit that it starts getting forced on us.
