Well as of right now at this moment with games that are RELEASED it seems Gears of War 3 is the current console graphics king, beating all other console exclusive and multiplt games released so far AT THE MOMENT. What do you guys believe? I think it's undebatable as of this moment in time.

Sorry bro but its not. You will hardly see any reveiw that emphasized on Gears of War 3's graphic compared to Killzone 3 or Uncharted 3 reviews. If you'er an only 360 owner then i understand your situation. Clearly Killzone 3, God of War 3 and Uncharted 2 looks far better.

Killzone 3 has low resolution particle effects. The performance shouldn't be bad at all. lolNeither Uncharted 2 or Gears 3 have dynamic texturing. Only one game this gen does that. It's called RAGE.

It's not like Xbox 360 can't do MLAA. It's inCostume Quest on XBLA. They just can't afford it. The AA used in Uncharted 3 is not good either. It's actually worse than 2XMSAA.

It has some of the best particle effects. And no the performance is top notch. Very rare and tiny framedrops and no tearing. I didn't say dynamic texturing I said detailed textures. Whereas Uncharted 2 has really detailed textures Gears 3's textures are pretty much a big pixel. Well the 360 doesn't have enough juice in it to utilize MLAA unless it's real poor graphics games. Gears 3 would have to sacrifice alot to use MLAA. That's why they didn't use it, cause there wasn't enough juice left, they couldn't even get the much lighter FXAA. But yeah from what I saw in the beta U3 had terrible AA. But that's just the beta.

Am sure if Gears of War 3 had used any form of AA it would have ended up with 540p resoluton. Am not joking the game is still strugling with no AA.

Infamous 2 also has no AA... And a unstable framerate...

Killzone 2and 3 have unstable framerates.

Uncharted 1 has screen tearing

GT5. The biggest and highest selling exclusive on the PS3 has framerate drops, pop in, and crazy screen tearing.

I can do this all day.

Killzone 2 and 3 framerates doesn't drop to Gears of War 3's level. And i dont remember anybody hyping Uncharted 1 as graphic king. But i taught lems were hyping Gears of War 3 to use FXAA and some even said it looks cleaner than God of War 3 :lol: now see what it ended up with No single AA :lol: not even 2XMSAA .

Well what i can realy tell from your link is that Gears of War 3 suffers : 1. No AA = Jaggy look 2. Ustable Framerat drops to 25fps sometimes 3. Screen Tearing. For me it a shame for a 2011 high rated exclusive to launch without a single AA when there are many cheap AA solutions out there (FXAA & MLAA) :( . Oh i forgot to mention that textures still loads slower in Gears 3.....ofcause it an unreal engine game. Uncharted 2 & killzone 3 still looks and perform far beter.

1.) Crysis 1 Max with no AA looks leaps and bounds better than every console game released yet.

2.) Gears 3 with no AA still looks better than Uncharted 2.

3.) Uncharted 1 had framerate drops and screen tearing... And it still looked better than Gears 1. Same rule applies here. But if you judge graphics on performance than you would also blindly say that Forza 3 looks better than GT5. Since that gamehadcrazy framerate drops and copious amounts of tearing.

4.) MLAA is not a cheap solution. Uncharted 3 is actually using a crappy version of it compared to God of War 3 and Killzone 3.

5.) Textures in UC2 load just as slow as Gears 3. Try playing a MP game. Uncharted 2 uses recorded cutscenes to mask texture loading.

6.) If Uncharted2 and Killzone 3 lighting, shadows, and motion blur are not as good Gears 3... How is it supposed to look better? Nevermind the increased texture resolution quality and filtering in Gears 3. Also the heavy amounts of high res alphas on display without going sub HD like Resistance 3 to pull it off.

AA realy matters,Put Gears of War 3 side by side with Killzone 3 and you'll notice how rough and jaggy the edges looks in Gears of War 3. For texture Killzone 3 uses higher resolution texture compared to Gears 3. One problem with Gears of War 3 is that it repeats texture compared to Uncharted 2's dynamic texturing. If you've played unchated 2 you'll notice that every enviroment has attention to ditails to its texture. For lighting i'll say gears beats uncharted 2 but i'll still give the best lighting on console to killzone 2 for the fact it handles the highest amount of dynamic light source i've seen in a game. The only thing that impressed me in Gears of War 3 is the way it handles it smoke particle effects. Though Killzone 3 has great particle effects too.

Where's evidence Gears isn't using FXAA? I see a definite upgrade and lesser amount of jags since the beta.

The framerate falls max 26-28. And that's when a large amount of enemies and or particle effect directly hits your screen.

And tearing in Uncharted is masked by buffering which causes input lag.

I've yet to experience one of these issues, except texture pop. Which happend once during a cutscene and lasted two seconds.

For streaming high quality textures... It's a must. Gameplay wise, I've not seen any texture pop ins at all...

Textures still takes time to load it is even visible during cutcenes. If installation will solve the problem what about the 4gb console owners :( ....:lol:

Oh you clearly have not played God of War 3 by your statement "God of War 3 is not even close to the best looking PS3 game". God of War 3 has some of the best texture on console beyond anything on 360. If you've played the cronos boss fight you'll notice the texture on cronos are beyond anything on 360, the texture is able scale out & zoom in while retaining thesame quality. The use of MLAA on the CELL enabled santamonica to use RSX for mainly high res texture this technique also helped Killzone 3 with it texture. And also funy how you claimed God of War 3 used baked lighting but it actually used full HDR lighting which is even more dynamic than Deffered renderer. Whether you like it or not God of War 3 is the most closest game to CGI. Gears 3 and Killzone 3 both have superior texturing to God of War 3. It's called paralax occlusion mapping. I don't remember GOW3 using HDR... Because even if it did... It's not needed, since the game isn't trying to look like a photo. lol God of War 3 is alsomajoraly a forward renderer like Gears 3.

Did you watch the video in my? The texture used on the titans especialy cronos and gia in God of War 3 surpass anything on 360. And realy God of War 3 used full HDR lighting. Go checkout "The making of God of War 3" on Digital foudry to find out more about it superior texture and lighting.
