It's the first time I've ever said this about the free GwG games...but this is disappointing.

Let's hope for some better games in June.

Jesus Christ! $260?? Is that serious or a misprint? I know it's a piece of hardware, loaded with these games, not just the games themselves, but that's unbelievably overpriced.

I'm going to assume that put that price out in the media and intend to "wow" everyone when they pop up and say "ok - only joking! It's only £60 the lot...

Edit; not that I'd pay £60 for it either - but someone might.

@Starshine_M2A2: But surely any new wifi router can run at a few hundred Mbps or even over 1Gbps. Usually the bottleneck for any data-hungry device or software will be the broadband pipe into your wifi router. My wifi router will handle about 400Mbps inside my network if I need it to - but it's all limited down to just 16Mbps on the pipe in from the telco (don't ask!)

I was really looking forward to this because I love the SP Fallout games (ie, I have no interest in F76), but the combat looks very clunky and awkward. I assume that will get a lot more fluid when you get a gun that shoots more than, say, 1 round every 3 seconds.

The dialogue doesn't look too awful, but it looks so strange when someone asks you something, and you choose your response, but then you don't hear that response, and then they reply to you as if you'd spoken out loud. In the Fallout games you would always hear your own voice saying whatever response you had chosen (or a response based upon that choice)

Also, when I play Fallout (I'm currently about 50 hours into another run-through of FO4 on Survival), I always play as a Lone Wanderer. I don't want companions with me, not even Dogmeat. I want to go it alone. It doesn't look like this game even allows you to do that. I watched the vid all the way through but the guys didn't mention this.

If I can't go it alone I'm probably not going to bother with this...which is a pity because it looks like it might be fun.

@timthegem: Don't get me wrong, I'm also interested in Vikings and have read many novels about them, but I think you have your timespan off. They were around from about 800 - 1100 - so a little over 250 years. A "generation" is generally seem as being around 25 years (ie, the average amount of time between one generation being born and them producing the next generation), so it's something like 11 or 12 generations. It's certainly not "hundreds" of generations...100 generations would be 2500 years...

But I''m certainly locking forward to this AC game, and hope they shift it back towards being a stealth game, as opposed to an action adventure game like the last couple (which were excellent games nevertheless...)
