Less than a month!

My last day of work is August 18. My birthday is on the 19th, then I move into my dorm on the 22nd. I plan to only bring the essentials, because last time, I had so much stuff, and I didn't know where it came from. I'm STILL unpacking. So I plan to bring video games, clothes, essentials and maybe books. I'm not sure though. Who has time to read anymore anyway? (Sad to hear me say that since I'm majoring in writing. I have no future.)

It was my first time......

.......being stopped by a cop. And not even for anything cool, like speeding. It was for unsafe passing. I passed a car on the right in a bike lane. It wouldn't have been a big deal if the cop just said "You can't pass here. Now you know." because I did NOT know. I mean, it's been close to 4 years since my driver's training, and I don't think they told me about Minnesota statute 169.18. And even if they had, I forgot it by now. Anyway, this bastard cop told me to go to court. And not just any day. On my fraking BIRTHDAY. So I tell him "I don't understand why I have to go to court." He explains that he doesn't know why either, or whether or not there's a fine involved. (Um, if you know enough to pull me over for doing it, why don't you know the consequences? dumbass.) He just says if I don't show up, don't contact the courthouse, or plead not guilty, that I can be arrested. All this....over passing a car in a bike lane WHERE THERE WERE NO BIKES FOR MILES. So, I don't understand why I have to pay the state money because I didn't hurt anything. I didn't injure anyone. I plead ignorance. But now I have to go to court, over something stupid like this. And for the record, I've NEVER been pulled over by a cop. Not once. So, on my first ever offense (and not even something dangerous!) they're making me go to court. WTF.

That's how my day went. I played a lot more FFIV. Went to see the Dark Knight again just for Ledger's inspiring acting. I left after his last scene. Oh, I played FFIV during the scenes he wasn't in. I mean, I just can't understand that Heath Ledger is the joker. Holy balls. He's so good.

So, I'm going to eat some delicious noodles and chill. I plan on calling the courthouse soon and telling them about this stupid cop. He totally ruined my day. Grrr....

The Dark Knight

I spent ALOT of money on video games today. But I did get alot of video games, so it was worth it.

I finally saw the Dark Knight, and I have this to say: meh. I'm not really big on comic book-based movies, and I admit, the only REAL reason I went to see it was for Heath Ledger. But I am not a silly fangirl mind you. the thing that drew me to this particular role was that he never played a role like this before. He was always a gentleman or something noble. this movie was made awesome with his performance. He did excellent. The rest of the movie, not so much.

I need more games.

Ninja town looks adorable. Many a time have I bought a game because it's cute or there are good-looking guys on the cover. So that's a for sure thing. I love ninjas, and I love cute things. and ninjas + cute things = WIN in my book.

Tomorrow, I will come home with an armload of video games. I should probably find out if I'm ever going to get my wii back, so I can 1: get new wii games, or 2: get a new wii. :

I learned something new today

First of all, next week, I'm going to a big Minnesota city. (I live in the boonies ;_; ) This city has two gamestops. I'm going to get me a big pile of video games, since I haven't seen a gamestore in months. I'm thinking some old RPGs, maybe a Ninja Gaiden II, and anything else my pocketbook can cover. Also, I should try to finish Lost Odyessy soon. It's hard for me to get through.

Anyway, the topic of my post: Red Bull molds. I found an open can of it last night in my closet, was interesed in it, and poured it into a glass in case any bugs had found their way in. Out came not bugs, but MOLD. chunks of it. Rest assured, mold has scared me away from it for good, unless it's a fresh can opened to mix my fave drink: cranberry and Red Bull. Otherwise, I'm keeping away from it. Mold has now ruined two foods for me. The other one was ramen. and unlike Red Bull, which seems to mold after two weeks, ramen will mold OVERNIGHT.

Stay away from Red Bull and ramen.

Multiplayer slowing dying?

I was watching the new video of Fable II when I realized that I would need to get my own xbox 360 for myself if my friend and I were to play co-op. (right, now, I'm borrowing his 360...i'm making him share with me :s) This is sad to me, because even though I never played alot of mulitplayer with friends, save some old school Crash Bandicoot racing and more recent escapades with Nintendo 64 and Halo, I like mulitplayer. A lot. The kind of multiplayer/co-op where you and a friend can veg out for hours. Now everything's being done over the internet. That makes me sad. Not to say that I don't mind hopping over the web for some awesome co-op, but I like it when I can sit down with a friend, eat some popcorn, and cruise through Halo. It's another type of bonding. My stepdad and I used to play Soul Caliber II all the time. That's how we get to know each other when we first met, was killing each other in a fighting game.

/Sigh. Well, maybe it's just me. I'm hoping that physical multiplayer won't die out completely.

So like.......

yeaaaa......my life is boring. FFTA2 is awesome. Work is hard. Not enough time for video games. I actually played FFTA2 on the way to work. While driving. Dangerous. But helpful.

I got MGS 4, and it is epic

Forget every other game I was thinking about playing for a good two weeks. This is the only thing I can think about at the moment. It is too beautiful. True, the cutscenes are a little too long--scratch that, way too long. But still, if there's any game that has a great story to tell, it is the MGS series. They tell stories like no other, and yes, that includes SE--sadly. But I am more interested in what MGS series has to tell than emo kids with spiky hair. As harsh as that sounds, I do respect Konami's storytelling more.

But moving away from the amazing story, what about that gameplay!? Well, it's fun. I love the camo, I love the boss fights (another thing awesome about MGS series) I love the stealth even though I suck royally at it. But you have to admit, running in with the guns blazing is just as fun as shooting someone with a tranquilizer. Sometimes more fun.

And with that, I leave, to go MGS 4. I kinda don't want it to end, because chances are, once it ends, I might not play it ever again. Then again, who really knows.

No MGS 4 for me :(

I had to cancel my pre-order for money issues among other issues with the credit card. I'm sad I'm gonna miss out, but right now, I could really use that 70 bucks.

anyway, I beat the world ends with you finally. what a weird ending. I didn't understand half of it and then they tell me to play for an extra 40 hours to unlock all the secrets. Screw that, I have things to do. You don't make a secret hard to get to because it contains what the hell happened in the story, you make a secret hard to get to because it enhances the story.

and I got Pokemon mystery dungeon. TOO CUTE. That is all.
